Sounds like straightforward classism to me.

This often annoys me as well, but I've totally done that myself on these boards here - with The Following. But in that case I felt the reviews/the comment section were not designed to be a particularly safe space for fans of that show anyway. I was just contributing my voice to the general tenor. (Kinda unnecessary as

I love Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire, but I can see a couple of valid reasons why someone else would want to stay away from that. (yeah, I know, depiction =/= endorsement, but a trigger is a trigger.)

I miss it already.

There are hints at a dark past (when he says to the Eva Green character "We have to live with our guilt"). I expect a mad wife in the attic at the very least. Or some heart of darkness type shit.

I've been looking forward to this for a while; glad to see it sounds promising!

Humans are complicated. Asexual doesn't necessarily mean aromantic.

So?

Well, that's the other side of the coin - he's never going to bother you with his neediness, but that means that you're the needy one (unless you're asexual yourself.) Still, a trade-off worth considering for some people. One would hope it evens out in other areas of the relationship. (Lots of different things to be

Some asexuals are willing to have sex on occasion to humour their partners; they're just not going to initiate.

Seriously?

Of course. My mistake.

The "odd"-part might be manageable. It's the "demand"-.part that usually causes conflicts.

Most generous interpretation:
He likes you as a friend and he only distanced himself from you when you had the fiance because he knew he'd have been your first choice and he was worried you wouldn't be able to fully commit to the new guy as long as he was still in the picture. When you dumped the fiance, he came back,

But inaccurate. There are such things as asexuals. (Can't have any odd sexual demands, if you have no sexual demands at all.)

Neither does Batman. If you take the long view.

I support your general point, but Sam Rockwell. I also like Anna Kendrick, which is why I'd feel bad about wanting her to be replaced by an older actress. The over-all trend is obnoxious though.

I think there was never a moment in this series when this was less likely.

The depiction of this wouldn't be misogynist, if the show would handle it with care. But since the people involved can't even agree on whether what they filmed was a rape or not, my hopes are not that high. They're clearly not giving it enough thought and people resent rape being in thrown in willy-nilly just for

Yeah, that was an odd phrasing in the review about Cersei losing her husband to the Iron Throne.
