Well, I think Kevin did get Patrick started when it comes to thinking about things like his professional future and long-term commitment in a more serious fashion. Kevin has built himself a life that Patrick would be proud of - he's at place in his life where Patrick would want to be, therefore a useful role model.

I don't know, I just don't see much of a reason to conflate intimacy/personal growth with professional ambitions. I've had more and less ambitous phases in my life, but whenever I was really invested in a project, it was because I saw some intrinsic value in the work, not because I needed to impress a superior to get

As straight woman, the "two super cute guys instead of one"-rationale seems so compelling that I wonder why it hasn't yet reached the status of truth universally acknowledged. The sentiment is so common in my circles that there's actually somewhat of a backslash by now; criticism of festishizing fangirls is a hot

Kevin is clearly the aspirational choice - he represents the status Patrick might want to attain. Kevin's the one Patrick would proudly introduce to his mom (you could see the spark in her eyes at the wedding, when she believed Kevin was Patrick's date for a moment; he'd be a mother-in-law's dream); he's the one

So basically, the murderer was the gardener?

Highly plausible.

She's very high-born and presumably well-connected. In terms of pedigree, Ragnar's a peasant compared to her. Abusing her might be an extremly stupid move, from a political perspective. He didn't get where he is by being a mindless brute.

I wouldn't want to play it (I'm not much of a strategical thinker and a sore loser, so that would be just a recipe for disaster), but I think I'd enjoy watching.

I think it's so absurd that it makes sense again.

To be fair, I used to think that "one cool photo of [the writer] from the 90s" was kinda cute even, but there are certainly diminishing returns. There are only so many meh-jokes you can salvage with nice hair.

Sounds promising. I'd be glad to see more of Natasha Lyonne. Looking forward to the aunt-niece dynamic. Lots of rarely mined potential there.

I guess I just thought he was pretty. I immensly disliked Peter Pan and Rufio gave him at least a bit of a hard time at first. Also, I was 9 when I saw the movie, so the cynical calculation behind the styling and attitude escaped me.

I had the biggest crush on Rufio as a kid; I would have totally watched a Rufio-centred prequel back then.

Oh come on, the monk was completely blind-sided by that particular turn of events. Let's see you survive among ax-murdery threesome proposing pagans without developing a bit of Stockholm syndrome.

Some work well enough, granted. I have a problem with the jumps that skip out on the emotional fall-out of Ragnar's stunts. I think that's one of the reasons why the characterization for some of the other characters is so all over the place.

Rest assured, there's nothing ironic about my enjoyment of the homoerotic charge between Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.

If only they woudn't do so many jarring time jumps. I particularly resent the next one, since it apparently robs us of Nathan O'Toole. He made Björn one of my favourite characters on that show (Kiernan Shipka levels of child-acting, seriously). Judging from the promos the new guy really seems like a down-grade.

Pfff. I feel I've seen enough of 18th century America for a while; I'd want to see the Doctor go to medieval Timbuktu!

Whether you believe it or not, I actually get that depiction isn't necessarily endorsement. (Although it's also worth pointing out that endorsement doesn't have to be explicit to fulfill its function. Not claiming that's the case here though.) I'm still somewhat tired of the sexists-as-the-heroes focus, simply because

Also, it makes sense to go for someone you're actually at least somewhat attracted too; otherwise you're just punishing yourself.
