Agreed. He was the equivalent of Andy Sandberg's character on Parks & Rec. I can't wait for Kate McKinnon to serve the same function on Bill Hader's eventual stellar sitcom.

Man Into Woman, compiled from Lili Elbe's diary entries and correspondence, is actually quite a fascinating first-hand account of Elbe's transition - although I do know somebody who hated it because of its necessarily dated ideas of gender and the trans community, so if that is going to bother you, please skip it.

Didn't we all decide that yelpy folk-pop was generally Jack White's fault?

I kept forgetting that Lake Bell wasn't a part of WHAS to begin with. She fits at Camp Firewood perfectly. That line reading couldn't have been better.

The Royal Tenenbaums was perfectly cast. The fact that all of the Tenenbaum actors come from showbusiness families except Gene Hackman adds an indelible level of connection (for the siblings/mother) and exclusion (for Hackman).

CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES

Nah, surely the most-repeated line on the "Previously On LOST"s was

Thank you, Perd.

"Everyone keeps telling Des he is meant for bigger things, whereas Locke is the only one telling himself that (well, besides crazy mom). Des is convinced it's bullshit, and Locke is convinced it has to be true. The —-SPOILERS BE HERE— tragic irony is that the unwilling bearer of this fate, Des, is actually the one

I want that spreadsheet. I need it.

"Don is a good parent if your parenting needs are met by a 20 minute biyearly motivational talk, and you're otherwise self-sufficient"

That's where I thought this season would go for Joan, until Ken took the in-house job at Dow. Not sure they'll do that twice.

Mingy Kaling's Indian heritage has about as much to do with her work as Woody Allen's judaism does his.

I'd call it a solid third, second being his Mr. Templeton song from 30 Rock.

Pete is Stannis Baratheon - he's where he is because of his bloodline, despite not being well-liked by anybody. He's ruthlessly good at his job and single-mindedly ambitious, and sees personal slights everywhere. He's probably better at his job than anybody else in the game, but it's hard to take him seriously when

He starred in an original musical on Broadway last year, that's not too bad. His roots are in musical theater.

I'm a Quizmaster, and every Trivia Newton John that comes to my quiz gets their name changed to John Triviolta on principle.

Similarly, "the 2000s" exist within the bounds of the Bush administration. Clinton kept the 1990s alive as long as he was in office, and Obama fasttracked us into the 2010s.

I choose to believe that Jimmy and Bobbi are into cuckolding and public confrontation. Jimmy gets to vent his indignation at tall, stoic gentile men in a concrete way, and Bobbi has her fun.

Don't Roger and Joan even have a conversation directly comparing and contrasting Joan to Fran Kubelik?
