He's trying, and failing, to keep this company together. He doesn't want to be the architect of a failed merger, so he's putting aside his competitive nature to try and subdue Don's.

I've never seen Betty show any real skill in manipulating people. That was a grade-A Don stunt.
I feel like Roger could have mentioned that to Joan to to soften the Jaguar blow.
"this actress—I won't say who, but she had a smaller role in the film—"

I'm not suggesting anything. Besides, if I were LESS susceptible to editing, I would judge dancers exclusively on the way they dance, instead of being liable to ignore, or even root against, somebody who gets the ol' narrative treatment. But I'm a schnook and dancers…
@avclub-3bb4010246975fa062a7625a249f91a1:disqusI'm an incredibly biased viewer in that when somebody's personal life/sob story is focused on in the audition episode, I'm not receptive to their dancing because I'm sick of that hoary old trope. I was totally turned off by Cole because they seemed to be selling him as…
Yech. Get rid of NappyTabs AND Tasty Oreo, bring in Travis and Comfort as regular choreographers. I love the All-Star aspect of SYTYCD, why not ingratiate it more fully?
More guest Broadway choreographers. Shit, I would love to see more of the Broadway numbers be actual classic Broadway routines taught to the…
Yeah, the passes given to Cyrus last year, for example, were infuriating. I understand that he was a favorite with the voters, but the jidges' comments influence voting. Criticizing Chehon out for not putting enough of his weight on the balls of his feet during his passably good Samba (if I recall correctly), and then…
Wait, why would Mia Michaels not being choreographing anymore? Did I miss something?
Yeah, I've been rooting for Mariah since last year. I hope she gets it. But especially in the last few years, the dancers I'm rooting for in Vegas are never the dancers I'm rooting for from, like, Top 16 and on. I'm starting to love the ones who change my mind late in the game, like Tadd in Season 8.
Was Armen Way the dancer who won So You Think You Can Dance: Armenia? I was really looking forward to seeing him dance in the competition proper.
"Their Boston dance is the first of many musical numbers we’ll be exposed to in the next couple months, most of which will probably come from Tyce Diorio."
Ugh. Thanks for reminding me. I'm almost not excited for this season.
Especially if he's played by Alexander Siddig the way my heart cries out for him to be.

Number two, "who do you think you are?"
I don't know. Peggy fell for Pete, too. And it seems that Pete was far kinder to, and more interested in, Bob than the other partners and accounts men. And Bob strikes me as somebody who "falls in love" easily and frequently. And, shit, it's Mad Men! Pete probably looks or acts like Bob's father.
The impression that I had was that Don's hallucinations weren't caused by smoking hash, but by oxygen deprivation from nearly drowning.
I am enjoying how Bob Benson is only getting his professional opportunities because he's a pawn in the higher-ups' machinations. Reminiscent of Peggy's ascent (Don put Peggy on Clearasil just to emasculate Pete, etc).
I got a Bob Benson notification for this?
