yeah stuff like email can be frustrating but it saves me so much time in other words that its worth the hassle. you kind of learn to force the keyboard to do email addresses. i dont think i type more than 2 letters of 90 % of the words i type now.

swype is great and swiftkey is great, one thing i find though is im way faster at 2 thumb typing with swiftkey. way faster at 1 finger typing with swype. i guess it depends on how you type. for me though 2 thumbs is the way to go.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned isyncr in the comments. It flawlessly syncs itunes playlists, easy to set up, and isn't tied to any particular android app. Oh and it's done this for months now. I have way too much music and doubletwist has a seizure when your library is too big.
