This is a genuine fear of mine. FFXIV’s players and communities have always seemed very helpful and generous with camaraderie in comparison to other MMO communities, WoW included. I sincerely hope this doesn’t change because of the toxic drama with the WoW community.

I wasn’t aware of this tool. Thank you for bringing it up! I’m always a bit anxious  when it comes to tools that have instructions more complicated than “click install extension,” but this seems worth reading the manual and getting it right.

Agreed. It’s like the old-school days of Atari, where the games had these amazing, fantastic cover art on the boxes and cartridges, but the games themselves were just... muddy piles of pixels. You best believe I was suckered in to many a space themed game based on the box art alone.
