They’ve made an art book for the Kickstarter. It would be good if it was available separately.

There’s a fan mod for Medieval II (the last TW game that allowed total conversion modding): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?721-Westeros-Total-War
Worth noting that Ryan Condal has already confirmed that the Conan TV show will be directly adapting the short stories.
Bad Wolf Productions have the rights to Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles, probably the finest modern retelling of the Arthurian legend. I think they’re waiting on His Dark Materials to be in full production before they tackle it seriously though, so possibly a few years away.
Joe Manganiello pitched this idea to the studio and Hasbro a while back, as they’re planning a D&D Cinematic Universe, but they’ve decided to go for an original Forgotten Realms script as their launching point. If that does well, I expect to see them looking at Dragonlance more seriously.
George’s deal with HBO meant that they needed agreement from both parties to do a new project. HBO were at least somewhat interested in Dunk & Egg and a Robert’s Rebellion prequel show and George shot both ideas down (he feels a Rebellion show is pointless as it exists solely to set up the story in the main books/TV…
It’s in development at SyFy. My understanding is that they had to go and have a rethink on the property for various reasons (which I took as code that they’re not sure about proceeding now that HBO are doing Watchmen).
A lot of the information in this article is very outdated. Ryan Condal has said his plan is to directly adapt the short stories, starting with The Frost Giant’s Daughter.
My take on this has always been that Starfleet, the Federation, the Vulcans and everyone in the fictional universe was aware of this issue and the transporter circumvents it. The canonical explanation is that your actual molecules, everything that makes you you, are taken apart and the same physical molecules travel…
With Vimeo you know where you stand, but YouTube? Who knows?
I think Todd Howard has confirmed that they have only done preliminary early work on Elder Scrolls VI (as they realised they needed better tech to make it work), but the game is not really in production. They have two games they want to get out the door before they get to ES6. Although FO76 might have been one of the…
Elder Scrolls Online. Certainly not Elder Scrolls VI (beyond some early ideas), because the current “big RPG” they’re working on is the unknown title codenamed “Starfield”.
A Bethesda game without mods? How will the game ever get patched so it works properly?
CDPR: “Come to our sanctuary instead.”
Yup. At least Fallout 1, sent 80 years after the bombs fell and with civilisation only just getting going again, made sense. By the time you get to Fallout 4, set over 210 years after the bombs, it’s really stopped making sense.
If it was a properly-beefed up game that was more like a SimCity game, or something like Frostpunk, I’d be quite down with that.
That’s interesting. Assuming the main Bethesda team have been working on Starfield, that means that either their relatively new B-team has been making this new FO game, or they’ve outsourced.
I had this concern, but the new team of writers they put on Tyranny did a really, really good job. I was quite surprised. I enjoyed their work more than the A-team on Pillars of Eternity (although Avellone had clearly already checked out by that point), so I don’t have too much of a problem there.
I actually appreciated that: the BoS have always been techno-fascist arseholes, their “white knight” characterisation in FO3 was always annoying (justified a little by the BoS being divided into chapters, not always in agreement with one another’s philosophies). Them being the bad guys in FO4 was something that I did…
It could be a first-person shooter in the Fallout universe which jettisons most of the RPG elements. Although they already released that under the name Fallout 4 so maybe not.
