Does it count as dog piling when I’m commenting on the 2nd wrong take you have while the others are commenting on the 1st one?

Evidence item #329,071 on why TLJ haters are the most ignorant melts around:

I’m curious how Johnson is being “annoying” about it? Virtually all of the comments I’ve read are from interviews, it’s not like he’s calling people up and forcing them to listen to him, or holding press conferences. He’s doing literally what nearly every filmmaker does.

Why would anyone listen to Star Wars fans? Have you met them?

I liked the movie. I don’t blame Rian Johnson nor the fans for the latter not liking it. It’s a divisive Star Wars movie, because it attempted to diverge from what was expected of a Star Wars movie.

If YOU got a chance to direct a Star Wars movie, you’d be talking about it constantly for the rest of your life. Don’t even try to convince me otherwise.

...no? Hearing him talk, and hearing others talk about him, I get only the impression that he is thoughtful, kind, empathetic and good-natured. He’s been put in the spotlight a ton since TLJ and I think he’s handled it terrifically.

This is a comment from a documentary made during production of the movie, not something he’s out making public statements about right now.

Read the article.

People are going to start making a lot of excuses for this, and that’s fine. I think it’s fair to point out that some of this discussion is premature since we barely know anything about her and how the game will deal with her being trans, if she is.

“oh someone else will get him”

The vast majority of people out there seem to only focus on the center of their screen.

More like Mercy was like “oh someone else will get him” or “oh, here comes our Junkr-oh dammit”.

Personally I think this article was worth it. I don’t read it as another “TLJ is divisive and okay” at all. I feel like that completely misses your point, which is meaningful and shines a light on one of the main problems with so much genre fiction...characters aren’t allowed to fade and die in ways that gel at all

I liked both the new movies. To me, they were both a new generation’s story. We were lucky enough to see our old generation’s last story. The first movie gave Han his end, the second Luke, and the third I assume would have given Leia her ending had Carrie Fisher lived. The way Disney treated Carrie Fisher by giving

We know it won’t be the last Star Wars film, but obviously will be the end for this particular storyline.

Sometimes it feels like the bulk of human effort is put into denying this simple fact.

Its just like real life..the nation comes together and elects a person of color to office and gets health care and then we go back to square one and put a stupid crazy racist in office and try to get rid of all benefits for the working class.

I got you fam!

Space is vast and beautiful... I need to make a proper gallery with more of my pics in it. (And I need to get some shots of the burning stations in Pleiades while I still can.)
