Microsoft’s definitely all-in on the GamePass model, though I think you’re selling their work on the Series consoles a little short, there - the goals of ‘wanting a console where GamePass users can play games’ and ‘wanting a really well-made console’ aren’t at all mutually exclusive.
I still think it’s Sony’s game to lose*, partially because Sony had such an entrenched advantage going into this generation - and those intra-generational advantages mean more and more as our libraries move to digital spaces, I think. I also wouldn’t discount the impact of exclusives moving forward, and, as consoles…
This is the case with SO much technology. It’s usually the things that work the best that you don’t notice. It’s only what’s broken that stands out. So people take for granted a system like this that works so hard to stay completely out of your way.
For sure; it’s a little hard to spin ‘ease of use’ as a reason to pick up a console (especially when it’s up against ‘whichever Sony exclusive franchise is your favorite’). I just think it’s funny that, what, two months after getting a Series X, my favorite thing about it is probably ‘how rarely I remember I’m playing…
I feel like a lot of the Series’ improvements over last gen are like that: decidedly unsexy, but in terms of general quality of life, actually pretty impressive. Like Microsoft was working overtime to make sure you didn’t really notice the changeover in generations, which is... kind of thankless and boring in terms of…
I’d bet that Greer James, or the previous Treasurer is the primary name on the account.
She’s the President and Founder of the Connecticut Parents Union. She could very well be the primary account holder, and even if she wasn’t, she was certainly authorized to access it.
I don’t even know what “I don’t feel comfortable” means in this circumstance. Did she suspect this woman of fraud? Was there any reason to believe this woman wasn’t who she said she was?
I am sorry what was the point of the conversation with the employee? She needs to be fired. Who is she to say that she didn’t feel comfortable giving a customer HER MONEY??!!! By the way this woman had what could be called a “bad day” but she didn’t go shoot up a bank and kill white people. See it ain’t hard
If a teller gives you a hard time about anything don’ t just leave. Ask for a manager. If that manager gives you a hard time ask them to call someone who has regional authority. And get everyone’s names. The point is to get it all on the record so the bank can’t give the initial weak ass response they did. Yeah you…
I think you should still play ME3 with the deck you were dealt though.
I don’t understand when people do this, but I was super into this game and paid attention. I didn’t even know anybody could die til a couple weeks later, I was discussing this with friends. They all lost one character, different ones.
It’s faded with time, but I remember thinking every choice was obvious.
Buddy, pal, friend ... you sound like you need to relax and log-off for a bit. You’re being weird.
Exactly. During a pandemic and riots against systemic racism, we finally found the real victims: a Sonic the Hedgehog fan site.
The whole “we are all adults now and have better shit to do” makes me think that he’s been planning this for a while, and the tweet just gave him the most convenient door to walk through.
Yeah that “apology” post both incredibly petty and kind of unhinged.
That was a really bad take, but shutting down the site seems kind of ...extreme? Makes you wonder if they were kind of over being a *checks notes* Sonic News Site for over 20 years and that combined with the backlash made them realize that they were ready to move on. I noticed that they never apologized for that bad…
If an argument is intelligent, rational, or common-sense, it's not coming from the mouth of a truther.
Um, no. There's a huge gap between "United States interference in the Middle East created resentment among its inhabitants, leading to terrorism" and "there was no terrorist attack on 9/11 — the government faked it."
