I have to agree. It’s not that it “sounds dumb” so much as it’s a mouthful, and even as I read this now, I hear different pronunciations in my head every time. Cross-save is much clearer, easier to say, and easier to remember. I’m sure we could come up with plenty more alternatives if need be.
