you sound like my grandmother.
you sound like my grandmother.
This comment should be paid attention to by Wall Street. I think Cook is showing that he is out of touch with what people want. It would seem that he still thinks people will buy things that Apple wants them to buy will work in the long term. The average consumer needed to be trained to use technology — they have…
I don't understand why I need to carry around two devices, when one will suffice. I can not get real work done on an ipad, but its ok for watching videos and playing a game. So, I still need to carry a mac book with me. This is heavy, and is kind of a dumb idea. With a surface pro, I can actually get real work…
If the Nexus 7 would get a decent NY Times version, I have absolutely no reason to even think about an iPad mini. Right now, I am thinking. NY Times and Google — get your act together on this. Wired Magazine too.
You clearly don't teach at the University level these days and have to deal with the i-tard generation that has absolutely no idea how to use anything but twitter and Facebook on a computer. When I ask them to open up their word processor of choice they have NO idea what I speak of. I tell them Microsoft Word, Word…
I can say that I never used any punch cards or anything of the like. I used the TRS-80 systems, Timex Sinclair, and Atari systems as well as others. I will be 40 years old next year what you speak of is indeed my mother's computer. My Father gave me my first computer and he knew how to use it much better than I did…
Where is the dock for the Nexus 7? Now it has native horizontal mode - where is the dock?
I hate to say this, but Grandma will be dead soon, and its not worth spending time to re-do operating systems to accommodate an aging population — the fact that today's elderly are not technologically savvy is a unique event, and will not happen again. Tomorrow's elderly is myself, and I personally have had a computer…
I think my Herman Miller Aeron chair is more comfortable actually. This couch looks nice and I would think to buy one, but for home office — Aeron FTW.
Sounds like you are mad because they didn't send out demo units yet.
Memory configurations do NOT warrant a model number, no matter what the industry wants us to believe.
It seems to me that Rayleigh scattering is playing a role here with the sapphire glass with its clarity and the transparency to UV wavelengths. Seems like some smart engineer could sample the image for UV and run a filter in semi-realtime to fix this, no?
It's not hard, but it takes longer to render. If you use maps alot, like many of us in NYC, Tokyo, and other large cities, the time adds up and people start to bump into you if you don't keep moving. This is really a matter of Apple forcing something on us before it was ready — why did they have to remove Google…
Setup dual boot Ubuntu on a PC. Cheaper, and you get the best of Unix and Windows on a cheaper, more capable machine that you can build yourself. You did say you want to be a power user. Stick with the power.
Maybe they can fix the maps with this money. Seems like they really should have enough money in the bank to have invested and produced a better first try than this....
The RT tablets need to be targeted at the Nexus 7, not at ipad. The need to be priced accordingly, and it should be explained how the RT is superior to Android in the 7 inch market.
Ask ANY video game player what the think of a new controller in the first 10 minutes and they will say EXACTLY the same thing. Ask them 10 days/10 months later and I am sure you will get a totally different response.
Guys like me that play video games might not care that the interface is beautiful, but if its "cool" I might be willing to give it a try.
I know this — but its not possible to access it in the RTM yet.
Where is Windows Media Center?
