I think my Herman Miller Aeron chair is more comfortable actually. This couch looks nice and I would think to buy one, but for home office — Aeron FTW.

Sounds like you are mad because they didn't send out demo units yet.

Memory configurations do NOT warrant a model number, no matter what the industry wants us to believe.

It seems to me that Rayleigh scattering is playing a role here with the sapphire glass with its clarity and the transparency to UV wavelengths. Seems like some smart engineer could sample the image for UV and run a filter in semi-realtime to fix this, no?

It's not hard, but it takes longer to render. If you use maps alot, like many of us in NYC, Tokyo, and other large cities, the time adds up and people start to bump into you if you don't keep moving. This is really a matter of Apple forcing something on us before it was ready — why did they have to remove Google

Setup dual boot Ubuntu on a PC. Cheaper, and you get the best of Unix and Windows on a cheaper, more capable machine that you can build yourself. You did say you want to be a power user. Stick with the power.

Maybe they can fix the maps with this money. Seems like they really should have enough money in the bank to have invested and produced a better first try than this....

The RT tablets need to be targeted at the Nexus 7, not at ipad. The need to be priced accordingly, and it should be explained how the RT is superior to Android in the 7 inch market.

Ask ANY video game player what the think of a new controller in the first 10 minutes and they will say EXACTLY the same thing. Ask them 10 days/10 months later and I am sure you will get a totally different response.

Guys like me that play video games might not care that the interface is beautiful, but if its "cool" I might be willing to give it a try.

I know this — but its not possible to access it in the RTM yet.

Where is Windows Media Center?

Umm — am I the only one that lives in NYC in a brownstone that can not connect to AT&T at all even with a microcell in my unit? A phone like this is more than useful to me.

I disagree. I find it very easy to use with mouse and keyboard. This is starting to sound like the Facebook Timeline arguments. The timeline works. Whether you like it or not is a matter of preference. Windows 8 works and works well. The arguments that it doesnt give a speed boost are on high end systems. It

Multi-monitor setups work great. I really like the multiple desktop images.

I would like to see Valve's numbers on how many units were sold.

Have you actually used Windows 8 for more than a few seconds? Its WAY faster and uses less ram and cpu than windows 7. This alone is reason to switch. And is pressing the windows key and a few other VERY fast shortcuts really hard, seriously? You don't need a touch screen interface at all to get benefits out of

Hamachi.

I am not sure that admitting bias is enough to make me buy into your arguments. I use both phones, and I must say Android in my opinion is far superior at this point in time.

I have the Billy Club patch to prove it - back in those days we had to take a photo of the screen with the console in view with connected joysticks and the cartridge displayed in the pic to get credit for skills to get the patches. I collected almost all of them from Activision and keep them in a safe these days. I
