Or should we say giant brain forward?
Or should we say giant brain forward?
Like many others, I found the continuity issues regarding multiverse/no multiverse to be SUPER annoying. I hope it’s eventually addressed, and I realize there may have been practical reasons that it played out this way, but for now it just feels like the writers are paying less attention than the fans - even if that’s…
There are sometimes when I read reviews of things I watch and wonder if we’re watching the same thing. We love and hate different parts, have completely different reactions to the same things, etc. Supergirl is consistently one of those shows.
They added the movies but only fixed 1/2 of the incorrect actress names.
I think letting us know the movies for the acting categories would be cool, but not as cool as spelling more than 3/5 of the names correctly in the Best Actress category.
Watching the extended version I’m more struck by the fact that they redo the question when neither contestant gets it. For regular questions they start asking the rest of the teams, but I guess I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen this for sudden death?
I’ll take Non Sequiturs for $2000, Alex.
I wouldn’t say I’m “excited” for the sequels but I always say it’s a perfectly watchable movie that was a very good theatre experience, the first modern 3D movie I’d seen and still possibly the best use of 3D. I will watch the sequels, not sure if I’ll catch them in the theatre or not.
Paraphrasing a classic “Fox Trot” comic strip, if the person who is supposed to drop the New Year’s ball doesn’t drop the ball, have they dropped the ball?
This is mostly where I’m at with it too. We don’t know anything about his personal life during the prequel trilogy. It’s not insane that he has fathered his son right around the time of RotS, pre-disfiguration, he’d be an old dad but not remotely unprecedented. So this child is basically Luke & Leia’s age.
“Climate Change” is a weird way to spell “Ricky Gervais” but okay.
Hot take, but I’ve never found the Joker that funny.* The only version of the character I’ve found interesting was Ledger’s. I remember some chuckles, but nothing riotously funny.
But if I only watch the movies, I’m not confused by anything?
I know being anti-Rose has become associated with a specific racist/misogynist stereotype, but...she’s not good. I’m not judging Kelly Marie Tran as an actress, either, but at a minimum it either wasn’t right for her or the writers failed her.
This seems like a vast oversimplification/overgeneralization to me. I realize people tend to fall in camps of J.J. vs. Rian with the new movies. Personally, I liked and disliked things about all three movies. If I had to pick I’d probably lean Team J.J. but not because TLJ “ruined my childhood” or anything like that.
Nah, I liked the Hux thing.
I’m personally on Team “Rose Was Not An Interesting Character” so that didn’t bother me at all. I just don’t think she was well-written or acted, and I also disliked the whole Canto Bight subplot.
I didn’t love everything about SW:TROS and I agree it moved at a breakneck pace and certain things could have benefitted from some time to breathe. BUT I do not understand this obsession with thinking that everything has to have a fleshed-out backstory/explanation. Poe was a spice runner, whatever that is. But it was…
After what the MCU has done with CGI de-aging there is no reason to bring on young actors to play characters where we have significant footage of the actor at that age. I doubt black*ish is really preventing Larry Fishburne from being available for some green suit work.
I agree, “dog” and “cat” years come taking a typical lifespan of 10-12 years and comparing it to the typical human lifespan of 70-80 years, giving you about ~7 human years for each “dog” or “cat” year. But developmental milestones (e.g., sexual maturity) and variance (e.g., the maximum lifespan) do not directly scale…
