Not to toot my own horn too much... But, yeah, know your stuff. After about the third word out of my mouth the salesmen turn their pitch off and just let me check out and drive the car. As an attorney who spends 100% of his free time with cars, I must be either their dream, or nightmare, customer.

You never know with macanamera. He inspires confidence in people. For example: I once heard that some guy went to all the trouble of importing a Nissan Skyline and then, while the ink was still drying on the paperwork, he let macanamera drive it after only knowing him for an hour.

This is honestly hilarious. I walked into a McLaren dealership in Miami and test drove a 12C back when it was the newest thing. They didn’t even blink at my request, and I was 20 years old. A salesperson didn’t even ride with me. They just gave me 15-20 mins in it, straight up.

As Cynthia’s better half, let me add on that we did say that we would go to another VW. And when we called that other VW, they also told us no test drives. No VW dealership within 30 miles of us will let people test drive the Golf R.

Another suggestion: go after achievements / trophies. So many people criticize them, but it’s entirely optional and they add a lot of replay value to some games.
