Westerns get "horse opera" though the AV Club's preferred term is "oater."

I agree. The first arc should have been about the outsider leaving the second for the conflict. And save the serial killer for the third? Characters keep mentioning the serial killer and I honestly don't know how important that will be.

Ash played his dad.

"…stupid scene. Ass movie."?
"…stupid-ass movie scene."?

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with GK.

It can be two things?

Did Sean Spicer miss out on this? He must be furious. He love/hates Daft Punk. It's almost as bad as when he didn't get to meet the Pope purely because Trump new it would hurt him.

Two (slow) weeks worth:
Cinema Purgatorio #11 continues to be great. The Cinema Purgatorio segment about Elizabeth Short, the Black Dahlia, was interesting coming from the author of From Hell - another unsolved story of a woman torn apart who never got justice.

George Perez is a master at big battle scenes. People use their abilities in interesting ways and he has a great sense of place. I remember a particular battles in Busiek/Perez's Avengers where Captain America throws his shield in one panel, and it bounces around in the background of a few panels focusing on other

I've been ignoring the Inhumans books (and most Marvel/DC in general actually) but the art presented here looks amazing. I'm always interested in someone playing with the form of comics. The pacing and panel structure looks great and the colors are alive. I'll check it out.

They work good as brief supporting characters. It keeps them unknowable and unpredictable. Will they help or just be dicks like usual? I enjoyed the '90s dynamic of Quicksilver and Crystal: trying to raise their kid as best they can without letting their crazy families interfere.

Idunno. I always hear about how much people love Devlor from Fantastic Force. He's all anyone is talking about these days. Devlor! Devlor! Devlor!

Intellectual Property Man? Sure, I love that guy.

Wait, do you think "La Jetée" is shitty?

I read the comic but didn't bother to watch the show. Because I read the comic.

"What's in the comic?"

Wallace Beery. Wrestling picture. What do you need, a roadmap?

He's a weird monster who smells like he eats garbage, and does.

Google says it's the 12th. Interesting. Good for him.

I fell behind on This is Us. Was McRaney nominated purely for the first episode? Either way, he deserves it.
