I was angry about this (preordering in US), and then I saw the list price in UK is £149.98 = $300.00 (vs US $189.99). No idea why it's so expensive over there, but hopefully this helps alleviate the pain.
The physical guitars are a complete pain to use compared to Guitar Hero's. Hardware compatibility means I'll be buying the RB2 software and the GHWT hardware.
