I’d assume they could also throw the torque numbers there too. Modern trains are a diesel motor to generate electricity but the actual motive force is provided by electrics with full torque at almost zero RPM. I imagine Ford is going to try and sell this thing as an absolute stump puller as well.

Even fleet buyers won’t touch them as the resale value is lower -

I have a friend who was born in Senegal, he thinks it’s really weird how much we Americans show the flag.

I’ll hope a single-cab version will be offered, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Maybe in the form of a work-spec fleet EV truck, at least?

Most people don't need that capability, and I think could easily be swayed by the ridiculous acceleration.

I still recall being stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam one late night in the Chicago area. I figured there must be a serious accident up ahead. No, they were doing maintenance on toll booths. Rather than let traffic flow through they had a single toll booth open to collect what I recall was a .35 cent toll. These cities

A Torchgate would be very cool. But yes this is the vehicle that will bring EVs to the masses. Not a 100k super hummer, a 70k lifestyle vehicle with odd looking oval eyes or a PS1 render that glitched into real life. A regular ass F-150 that happens to be an EV. Hopefully it starts at a price people can afford,

I don’t know. Where geography is not a limiting factor, a hub-and-spoke system with multiple concentric rings is pretty good. You theoretically have multiple options to get from point A to B. It’s much better than an “asterisk-like” handful of major arteries that force everyone through the same small area.

Having lived in the Chicago area and having been required to drive all over the northern half of IL, I can attest that it is the fucking worst.

Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was the UNITED states. I should drive wherever I darn well please, guns blazing, V8s Roar’n and bald eagles soar’n.

Just swapping tires has dropped fuel economy by 5% - 10% on several of my cars.

WelL ObVioSly thEy r in the POCket of BiG OIL! StuDY it OUt.

Having lifted a few vehicles, that could honestly be most of the loss.

Beijing would like you to hold its Yanjing beer:

I would gladly accept a highway system and/or transportation infrastructure developed by slime molds than any of the ones designed and built by Texans. Whoever developed the “access road” and “build a city, build a loop around it, then build more city, then build another loop around it...” model deserves to be fed to

I agree.

Hmm - I see a plan coming together. Now how do we find this tool in real-time?  Oh yeah, he posts incessantly, it should not be hard.

Eventually he will injure or kill someone. I hope that when he does, the victims hire me to sue him into utter financial ruination so that I can buy myself a nice new electric not-Tesla vehicle.
