87 octane and diesel are withing a dime here yet almost any car with diesel is $5000 or more than gasoline engine. I can drive for years for $5000 worth of gas when with diesel I would start maybe (with all the breakdowns of emissions and other stupid stuff, DEF... ) saving money after 7 years
