you’ve clearly got some de-naive-ification work to do in yourself, I hope this thread helps you understand this little chunk of reality a bit better! there's good information here if you put your thinking cap on.

They dont pay their share though. They hide money in offshore accounts deliberately to pay less tax.
Just gonna leave this here for ya.
You should be hating on the government
A good steering wheel lock is less than $100. They’re not foolproof, but it will probably do a better job of deterring people from busting your window and steering column than the more expensive updates that potential thieves can’t clearly see.
yes you are correct and if you pay people petter you get better people also and with higher wages better people will apply and you do not have to hire those you describe.
My fellow human, where the fuck have you been working? Find some where else.
I was going to say something similar. Unless this idea becomes standard across EVERY restaurant in the country, it won’t work. Every story I’ve ever read about adding a charge or raising prices to do away with tips, doesn’t last and the restaurant goes back to tips.
I agree that it should be one flat price with service included. Your grocery example does remind me of Uber Eats and Postmates who always add on ridiculous fees to their orders. I did think of another example of why restaurants might charge a separate service fee. I can see a restaurant only charging the service fee…
Because the owners are chuds and want to make a point by having a separate charge on the bill.
Yes, tipping is just a hassle and doesn’t improve service. Just add it to the price and be done with it.
Imagine filling your grocery cart or department store cart and expecting the total at the register being 22% higher, I would rather have higher prices than a surcharge. Will Target and Wallmart just add 22% at the register to cover worker salaries? Will car dealers charge 22% at the end of the sale to cover the…
Agreed. Again, you can avoid the mandatory B.S. add-ons by casting a wide net when shopping and find dealers that are straight shooters. They're out there.
Many dealers are proud of their markups. Shit’s displayed in large hand-written numbers. But adding dealer installed accessories you don’t even want is still a thinly veiled ADM, no matter how they do it. Now dealers just feel justified that they’re giving you “something” instead of outright taking your money with…
They’re repeatedly trying to touch my butt. Or wallet which rests on my butt. Either way, it’s uncomfortable.
Oh MY take is shitty? Well congratu-fucking-lations for setting the example dealers should adhere to. But you’re living in your own little bubble. Considering that even NON CAR PEOPLE fucking hate what dealers have become recently, my take is the least shitty, and justifiable. It’s what everyone wants to say aloud.
You are a fucking moron.
Yuuup! I just don’t get why its legally allowable to quote pricing in denominations that aren’t even possible to make with legal tender.
If that was 20 years ago, absolutely!
