I bought my parents an ATT 520 and they use it on the CricKet network. ATT owns it, but it uses a different SIM. Works great, so straight talk should be fine. As for the phone itself, I own a Lumia 920, and though my camera is much better, the phone itself runs just as fast and smooth.

Actually, if you use the modern apps for Netflix, Watch ESPN, Amazon IV, Fox, FX, History, ABC, ABC Family, Discovery, etc. you get the same quality as a Roku. Not sure why they run so much better that way than in the browser, but they do.
