Microcenter has the new Dell Venue Pro 8 for 259.99 (in store pickup only). Which is $40 off the regular price. The tablet is a full windows 8 install with baytrail atom.

Emptying the cat box. Eww.

I like this article because it is realistic about the drawbacks of an Apple product, actually, any "new" product really. It is refreshing to read, especially with a sister site to this one praising it in all its glory. It just burns me up, how much WP8, and WinRT, and Win 8 (yes, MS fanboi here) gets smashed by

The Start screen is actually great for a HTPC UI. It is easy to navigate with the wireless keyboard/track pad I use. Much easier to read icons and navigate than the standard desktop mode. Also, it looks kick ass on my wall mounted TV.

A ketogenic diet will essentially turn your blood into an acid over time, which is just as bad for the kidneys as hyperglycemia.

I also prefer 10 inches due to using it for real work such as note taking, emailing, and other office apps. 8 inch keyboards are just too cramped.

I would take a look at the new Win 8.1 tabs from Dell and Toshiba. You can get them in an 8 inch form factor, and it is a full blown PC, not a tablet.

Gulf Shores, AL. I know it is considered the "redneck Riviera", but it isn't nearly as commercialized as most of the Florida coastal cities. Great local food, white sands, and its only a 10 hr. drive from Lexington, KY which is where I live.

I have no qualms with that. I would love to see a similar article with Windows Phone. I think MS is trying to give customers the best of both worlds. I don't think they offer the best at either world, but do have a good compromises.

From my personal use, WP works well for me. Phone never crashes, syncs perfect over MS

Not sure your body size or gender, so I am going to assume you are the average male between 20-40 y/o. Your calorie demand is probably around 2200 calories daily depending on your activity level. The average run of the mill oatmeal is about 150 calories per serving. It is not enough to be a complete breakfast. Throw

Another WP inspired design. Sweet.

What apps are you talking about? The main one I will give you is Dropbox. we can read our files but can't save to it. We also have skydive with 10x the storage and full integration. My needs have been met for the most part, but I know some others wheels are different than mine.

For all the grief that Windows Phone gets from iOS and Android fans, I do see a lot of software companies and UI designers copying it's style. Its a case of "Its not good unless we do it".

Great point. Also, it is important to point out that for the reason you mentioned, 6 small meals a day is extra important for those doing any sort of weight training program. When blood sugar levels get low, the body turns to alternate sources of glucose. One of these is stored fat, the other, unfortunately is amino

Potatoes are a healthy food when prepared properly. Carbs are not the devil, the human body runs on them.

Not sure, but I think that the chlorine evaporates out of the water. I used to do the same thing with the water that I was going to use in my drip coffee maker. I would set it out the night before. I could notice a difference in the taste of the coffee.

My parents live in the sticks of Kentucky. Their only option for broadband is in the form of a 3g usb modem or hotspot (or satellite internet, which is almost twice the cost). They only get 2 bars of service from Verizon. I was thinking of a way to make browsing there a much better experience. I came across some

This article is true in terms of vitamin/mineral content for non-local produce purchased at the grocery store compared to canned vegetables/fruits. However, not so much for phytochemicals, which many of the main health benefits of a plant based diet are based. Pasteurization, all while is excellent for making our food

Exactly. This is how I have my set. It is tilted down, and I cannot tell a color difference compared to my bedroom set that is at eye level. Mounting it high above a fire place is fine unless you are a videophile. The soot shouldn't be an issue either as long as you clean your fire place regularly, and have good air

Windows automatically installs updates after you restart. Most users don't even know it happens. Some think this is good because they avoid the bubbles. My only issue is I restart maybe once per week.
