I am not a Metro hater. I think it makes perfect sense for touch screens. I think were MS made a mistake is making it the focus of the OS when most people don't own touch screens yet. What they should have done is kept the traditional desktop, and have metro as a feature for touch screens and tablets. The OS itself is

That really depends on your religion or world views. The bible has mixed feelings about the topic really. http://www.openbible.info/topics/eating_animals

" In the short term, then, the advice of the researchers is to cut back on consumption of meats like beef and lamb". They never say to quit eating it completely. Most of the foods we eat have some sort of negative effect on the body. It comes down to a balance of pro's verses cons. With small amounts of red meat in

Great article, but I hope this doesn't convey the wrong message to people. Eating red meat is not "bad". Eating red meat in excess is bad. This is true for ANY food product or substance. The key to health is variety and moderation. Eating beef once a week is completely fine as long as it is complimented with a

Exactly. This is how I have my set. It is tilted down, and I cannot tell a color difference compared to my bedroom set that is at eye level. Mounting it high above a fire place is fine unless you are a videophile. The soot shouldn't be an issue either as long as you clean your fire place regularly, and have good air

Windows automatically installs updates after you restart. Most users don't even know it happens. Some think this is good because they avoid the bubbles. My only issue is I restart maybe once per week.

A lot of these articles seem to deal with supplementation (which often exceeds actual needs of the nutrient) of these nutrients in the diet, rather than intake of foods that naturally contain them. It is the other phytonutrients in foods that make them more bioavailable and effective. The bottom line is a healthy

Well put. The majority of errors I see in these reviews is they either compare it to an iPad or a Laptop. It is neither of these things, and thus will always fall short of expectations. What it actually is, is a great compromise of both platforms.

"So at that point you're just buying a tablet, and the iPad or the Nexus 10 are more cost-effective"

Cappy's shield does not absorb ANY energy (at least that's how the film explained it), therefor reflects 100% back. So his arm would not have been effected by Thors smash. If you remember, Cappy kind of gets his ass kicked in the alien fight seen as well, but he is just strong enough to hold his own.

" there's absolutely no evidence that there are any substantial health negatives to your body's intrinsic production of free radicals" Partially Correct (there is some, just not conclusive). Oxidation is a natural process of our physiology. What antioxidants DO protect from is external compounds that we introduce

I believe you re the one interpreting the science of antioxidants wrong. They are not cures for anything, rather the are more of a preventative maintenance for your body. They quench free radicals and oxidation reactions in the body which in turn prevents damage. Oh, and there is TONS of research to back that up.

^ This.

Actually they have had really good sales reports. This was the plan all along.

I wonder if Pete Thamel will catch any heat for this. He is always trying to destroy kid's college careers that go to schools he hates. Also, I wonder if ESPN will man up and say they crammed a hoax down our throats?

Preach it Ben!

^, I first read this and was like "I have been running Dropbox on 8 since the beginning... This should read, Dropbox is available for the Metro errr start screen interface..

I'm pretty sure you have to have a cable subscription to watch the channels. My big question for videofiles is that if you have a nice HD screen, would the quality compare to the actual cable box. I was under the impression that although it is in an HD resolution, that internet TV is highly compressed.

^^ Also, it really depends on what you use it for. The main knock I used to hear on netbooks is that, "ZOMG its so slow, it cant play 1080p or run Crisis! ZOMG it cant handle photoshop either." That's not what a "tablet" / netbook is for. It is for web browsing, email, word processing, note taking, etc. Which all of

Ughh...not compatible with my Moto Atrix...
