Exactly. This is how I have my set. It is tilted down, and I cannot tell a color difference compared to my bedroom set that is at eye level. Mounting it high above a fire place is fine unless you are a videophile. The soot shouldn't be an issue either as long as you clean your fire place regularly, and have good air

Windows automatically installs updates after you restart. Most users don't even know it happens. Some think this is good because they avoid the bubbles. My only issue is I restart maybe once per week.

A lot of these articles seem to deal with supplementation (which often exceeds actual needs of the nutrient) of these nutrients in the diet, rather than intake of foods that naturally contain them. It is the other phytonutrients in foods that make them more bioavailable and effective. The bottom line is a healthy

" there's absolutely no evidence that there are any substantial health negatives to your body's intrinsic production of free radicals" Partially Correct (there is some, just not conclusive). Oxidation is a natural process of our physiology. What antioxidants DO protect from is external compounds that we introduce

I believe you re the one interpreting the science of antioxidants wrong. They are not cures for anything, rather the are more of a preventative maintenance for your body. They quench free radicals and oxidation reactions in the body which in turn prevents damage. Oh, and there is TONS of research to back that up.

I wonder if Pete Thamel will catch any heat for this. He is always trying to destroy kid's college careers that go to schools he hates. Also, I wonder if ESPN will man up and say they crammed a hoax down our throats?

^^ Also, it really depends on what you use it for. The main knock I used to hear on netbooks is that, "ZOMG its so slow, it cant play 1080p or run Crisis! ZOMG it cant handle photoshop either." That's not what a "tablet" / netbook is for. It is for web browsing, email, word processing, note taking, etc. Which all of

Ughh...not compatible with my Moto Atrix...

I think it is a fair price. I think people were hoping for something around $700-800 like acer's Iconia 710. That is the device I am actually interested in. Not as light, but has almost the same features (minus the touch/type cover).

Only if you have no idea what you are doing, and then that means the same for OSX. I have been using computers since 98, and never once had a virus.

err.. wrong blog. *I wish Gizmodo would do that.

I wish LH would do a post about tricking your xbox to think you have a different cable provider. I have Time Warner (I know...I know..it's b/c my wife is a producer for them and we get free cable). However, the espn app does not recognize this, even though TW is on the list of providers. So I cant use the app to watch

Yeah who wants a newly upgraded and more resource efficient OS with other added features.... Nothing wrong with liking windows 7. It was a great OS, but hating windows 8 because of one feature that is easily avoided would be equivalent to me thinking you're a total moron based off one comment on a LH post... That

Dual Monitor set up. I know its not directly organizational, but it helps you multitask. Currently I'm rocking a crappy 19" Samsung LCD panel with 1440x900 pixels.

Troll much? I don't think I was being negative at all, just offering a simple suggestion for future posts. You sir, offered nothing useful or insightful in your comment.

I'm also aware HP used the same terminology, so LH is not to blame. I just thought it would be good for future reference.

Nice post, good info. The only gripe I have is the reference to the professionals as "nutritionists". All of the snack recipes come from Registered Dietitians (like myself). Calling them a Nutritionist is like calling a Registered Nurse a Certified Nursing Assistant.

The body is designed to run on sugar. Fat isn't the reason I omitted the bacon; it is more to do with the nitrates and sodium.
