It’s become like Black Friday, which really is no better than The Purge at this point.

It’s crazy that people choose to participate in this whole system. My in-laws grew up in post-war eastern Europe and had to line up to get things like bread. The thought of doing this for some cute plates is baffling.

Duh, it’s supes simple:
Kid making 50 cents a day to sew a caftan + 500% mark up = perfectly fine.
People waiting in line, paying for items with their own money, then selling them on (you know, like literally every link in the value chain of goods/services) = OMG MERCENARIES.

Everyone who lives in poorer neighborhoods where early voting was slashed.

Feign? No, I’m actually surprised by the level of vitrol leveled against the folks who swooped in to take advantage of what is clearly a hungry market. Surprised and amused, always amused by the American consumer and the level of insult they take at someone else having what they have or want.

Wow, such language. I wasn’t trying to hurt your feelings. The point is clear, no one makes anyone buy luxuries such as this. The market takes care of itself. They gave up time to be able to pick up goods to make a profit - kind of like a job. It may not be something you like, but people use their time differently. If

are you... are you serious? because this is essentially the capitalist way.

I get the feeling you pull that behavior a lot instead of actually engaging with the statements of others.

i mean target doesn’t give a rats ass, but the whole thing is legit terrifying. i can’t think of a thing i would really want that i would like, fight for like that? like nah kid, it’s all fine.

People with “lots and lots of money” don’t shop at Target.

These people act like a kid making 5 cents a day in Indonesia won't be making this stuff again.. For Christs sake get over yourselves. This isn't a good look for you...

I don’t mean to offend anyone but I always thought it was a wasp thing.

I think the people that like this style are not the same people that have to stand in line for hours to vote.

Imagine being the retail worker who had to set that shit up and then clean up the carnage just a few hours later. They should have just thrown it all on the floor and made people dig for their goods.

I find the ‘basic’ comments hilarious. Lilly Pulitzer is the EPITOME of basic. Thinking something that is sort of expensive - I mean, $200 for a dress is cheap if you are talking haute couture - makes you classy and fashion forward screams basic.

Boy, do I feel stupid. I found two LP dresses at a thrift store in Austin in the mid-aughts and bought them both because they were well cut and really cute on the hanger, but they each got worn maybe three times because the colors are SO bright. I ended up donating them to a Goodwill when we moved cross country. I

And, meanwhile, next time some basic chick is rocking Lilly in public, some soror will eyeball the girl and sniff, “Yeah, ‘for Target’, not the REAL Lilly” the same way they did with Isaac Mizrahi’s shit.

Luckily for me, this craze totally missed Cleveland. I went grocery shopping at Target early this morning and it was just as pleasantly/eerily deserted as always.
