I was sobbing this whole ep oh man it was rough, but great.

This show makes me cry like no other, my lord. No matter if the episode is more comedic/dramatic etc there’s always a scene or two (or whole episode, like this one) that wrecks me.
Petra’s mirror pep talk was so cute. Lovestruck Petra is just damn adorable. I really hope JR sticks around but I’m sure Rosario Dawson…

as you might’ve guessed, I typed out the introductory monologue (if a bit late):

Krishna gave Petra the recommendation of JR in the beginning of that storyline so I’m assuming since Petra has needed many lawyers Krishna had a good list of high powered, successful ones? Or Krishna’s being blackmailed since a man came to visit JR’s mother, not her.

The quick flashbacks of Jane and So in the hospital in the beginning already has me crying oh my god, I cried basically throughout this whole episode and then the end! Ugh :( When Xo got the news on the phone it was very hard to read her face as sad tears vs happy tears it kept changing. Andrea Navedo nailed that.

having a jake/kevin episode kick off this back half of the season, for me, couldn’t have been more perfect. along with gina’s gossip, rosa’s blonde perm, captain holt’s text messages, library perverts, nic cage, shred pile, i loved it and was laughing nonstop. i’ll probably post quotes after i watch again later.

would’ve believed it honestly. fx is really killin it show and promo wise

yeah definitely all the kids are amazing! I just love how she’s perfectly nailing the awkward/nerdy, sexually repressed, yet also sex positive character. So damn funny and Jack doesn’t think twice about it. It’s all great.

I still think Krishna is behind the whole manipulating JR/framing Petra thing. Thought it was interesting that they had Jane imitate her for that quick second before Petra came up to talk to her and not a rando at the Marbella.

darius is also my favorite but al is up there too. brian tyree henry’s deadpan and reaction shots are consistently amazing. i’m glad you found out about it though! it’s definitely a special show, i’m happy we get more and more of those these days.

God I love Heather so much. Her “oh, fuck” at the end in response to Dan wanting a “real woman” was perfect.
