I admit that I cried a little when I first heard he was retiring. As a native Hoosier and Ball State alumni-Dave was the ultimate story of "local boy does good" when I was a kid. Plus, I had the chance to meet his mom years ago at our Telecommunications Department dinner and she is the nicest person ever.
