Well Kotaku did report on it when it was released. Writing about this particular game more in depth was my own idea when my column was approved a couple of weeks ago. It didn’t matter to me that it was 6 months old. It’s still playable.

It would be interesting to see what route they go. Most vendors dealing with sex games have to deal with a lot of issues with how to handle the high-risk credit tier that those genres are forced under (a lot of processors won’t touch 18+ stuff) than any scruples about the contents themselves.

What you describe would definitely fall under E-rated (explicit) fanfiction, at least on Ao3! M is a tier below that.

I think I had explored enough to make a good case for why people new to the genre should check it out. I don’t want to retread the whole game in a writeup like this or people will feel like there’s nothing for themselves to discover!

I’ve had a lot of success with my friends presenting such topics in an approachable manner such as this. They’re usually down for checking out stuff like this as long as something interesting looking is laid out.
