There is plenty of media aimed at children with progressive messages. The problem is that there is equal or more media that teaches violence as a solution and glorifies revenge fantasy.

Not to make light of this situation but I went to a north Toronto high school with a lot of South Asian, Chinese and Viet kids who seemed to under the same strain this young lady was facing. I don’t remember any plotting to kill their parents though.
