Trust me, they wont give a shit about what’s “legal” or not. Once Fat Donny declares both an economic emergency (tariffs for all!) and a simultaneous “national security” emergency, law and order is largely whatever he says it is. So they’ll break whatever contract they want, probably just defy any court’s ruling that…
It’s one of those “I wish they could both lose” situations.
The thing I agree with is the notion that Musk should not be anywhere near the White House. I don’t know enough about the H1B topic to form an opinion one way or another.
Actually Bannon’s whole argument is ridiculous. He’s angry at Musk because Musk favors non-white immigration (the whole H1B Visa thing) which Bannon despises and so Bannon attacks Musk by labelling him a racist.
Musk is petty AF, too, so if Bannon manages to push him out, it’ll be the beginning of the war, not the end of it.
as mortifying as the march towards oligarchy has been, there is a certain poetry about all these dorks like Bannon realizing what they bought
If Musk wins the Bannon/Musk war, expect to see CyberTrucks delivering your mail early next year.
I’d pay good money to see Bannon and Mush fight to the death. Good money.
As recent reports have suggested that Trump may be tiring of Musk, this might not be as big an ask as you first think.
These guys will do anything to cling to the power they bought themselves, and will prioritize that over anything. None of them are on our side.
Common sense and the incoming administration mix like oil and water. They’re more interested in speed-running the end of democracy and, with their climate change denialism, the end of the human race.
1st Gear:
I’m Admiral Hux on this. “I don’t care if Bannon wins, I just want Musk to lose.”
2nd Gear:
I think it was a foregone conclusion that the EV mail fleet was DOA once Trump was elected, and the fleet has not been implemented yet.
The question remains, can the Govt. effectively, legally, kill the Oshkosh…
Remember this: rich people are rich people first and whatever else they are is a distant second.
At this rate I’m going to run out of a lifetime supply of popcorn by February.
1st Gear: Takes one to know one.
I don’t see how Bannon makes a value proposition to agent orange about dumping Elon when Musky has so much money that fearful leader would like ever so much to get his tiny greasy fingers on.
Regarding the mail trucks — you’d think that with Elon’s influence and a peek out the window at that hugely effective fleet of Amazon electric vans all over the place that the Trump guys would at least realize that maybe electric really is the better way to go. But common sense hasn’t stopped them yet, so whatever.
