Justin and Hailey look like they both just got out of the shower. Hailey has gone for the towel-wrap gown, and Justin is wrapped up in a cozy, oversized robe and jammy bottoms.

Hailey’s dress isn’t a goddess dress. It’s a sheet wrapped around her like a towel. They both earn spots on the worst-dressed list; it’s just that his outfit is SO much worse that she looks almost sensible next to him.
Hailey Bieber looks like she just wrapped herself in a bedsheet and came along to the awards ceremony. Justin is obviously legally blind.
All of the points in the article above are well taken. I think there’s probably also some room in this discussion to explore the limitations of the public’s conception of men’s fashion when it comes to celebrity and red carpet events like this. We’re very used to seeing women push the envelope with their fashion…
Adding to your point, I remember about 1 in 10 college professors being little god-kings who demanded adherence to their order in their classroom, and English professors were the fucking worst offenders.
It smacks of entitlement because they are entitled to be there. That’s what you pay tuition and class fees for. To attend class.
I’m sure there were a lot of people in that room who were going through their own demons but they didn't choose violence that day. Let's not forget Will Smith is a professional in many areas, and has been for decades.
I think the insanity was more about the (extremely formal) circumstances/venue. If Will had been drinking in a bar somewhere and a guy mocked his wife’s appearance, and Will hauled off and smacked him, that would practically be considered business as usual.
For real, even stepping back because he’d “deprived others of the opportunity to be celebrated", it's still him in the headlines.
Another day, another group of amazing Black folks whose night and achievements were ruined by Will Smith.
Logically, I know Fabletics is supposed to be pronounced like “athletics” but you know, more fabulously yet I read it and immediately go “Fable-tics.”
Other people are blowing it out of proportion? If you or I had been a guest at the show and had run on stage to slap Chris Rock as an average citizen, we would have been tackled by 5 guards and charged with assault and would be sitting in a jail cell right now.
The most surprising thing to me out of all of this is those that are dead serious about defending the Smiths. I really just cant and will never get it!?!?!??!??!?!?!?
I think revoking the award would be even harder. I mean he slapped somebody, are they going to go take awards back from all the people who have done worse? I feel like that would create an even bigger backlash.
Thanks to comments yesterday, I’m going to do the one thing I swore I’d never go: defend the Academy.
They literally would’ve had to stop the ceremony and go dark.
He would have been better served if they had hauled him out of there. His acceptance speech was so offensive. Acting like women are so fragile that they need a man to step in and save them? How is reducing your wife to a helpless child an act of chivalry?
That place is crawling with security inside and out. These are trained professionals who know how to quietly and quickly remove a person.
Lol tried to sound cool and got sent to the principal’s office.
You mean they want to know who besides Matt Gaetz?
