The best part of this whole article is Kemba clutching his pearls after the second dunk video. I watched it three times already.

Whenever the next TV I have dies, be it one of the plasmas or the cheap LCD I have, I’ll shuffle things around the house and try to justify a big OLED. It seems worth it when you have a hole to fill but I agree, they’re too good as is to justify upgrading the TV (and the receiver, etc.).

My main TV is a 58" Samsung Plasma that had a weird purple bar thing that was repaired for $70 half a decade ago and hasn’t missed a beat. I can’t justify 4k!

Ditto, plus my TVs won’t die. I have a 10+ year old 1080p Panasonic Plasma that just refuses to stop working. It’s heavy, but it looks great.

Evernote will OCR it too

Missouri’s #1 show being Ozark makes all sorts of sense.

Because they have an immaculate old Supra. You’ll come in to see the car in the dealership, and maybe test drive a new Supra.

Vanilla is cheaper than Bartender with similar functionality.

Interesting. The GLA45 AMG was on the short-list before I ended up in my current car, mainly because laid bare it’s a hot hatch with luxury gear. Sad to hear it doesn’t match up to that.

This is an actual question and not meant to be a slam on anyone: are anyone’s cars so loud that taking a call via speakerphone/bluetooth (either built in or added) is a problem? I’ve leased modern cars for the past 3 vehicles I’ve driven, sot they’re pretty darned sealed in with built in BT calling/etc.

All of the BT headphones I have, save for AirPods, have exactly the same functionality of your wired ones. AirPods have some tap based stuff than can mirror the buttons and you can choose the assignment.

Not at all. They appear as external devices directly in Spotify, and you can make “groups” in Google Home’s app to define your multi-room audio. I am sad these are gone, because I have only two of them and they’re rad.

I miss my Chumby

I’ve been a dedicated Runkeeper user for a while now, but the stand-alone Apple Watch performance is... not great. Since I upgraded to the Watch with cell service, I feel comfortable going running without a phone (I’d want a way to contact folks if I injured myself/got lost/got stuck in weather and need a bailout).

You forgot “Triumph at Comic-Con,” a truly outstanding episode of Hollywood Handbook.

I thought about this too. There are some higher maintenance costs with these DSG cars to keep an eye out for, though.

Thermapens are worth the money. Dial thermometers are so inaccurate that it can dramatically affect the product. I had a cheap dial thermometer for steaming milk for espresso beverages. I tested it against the Thermapen (and a couple of other calibrated thermometers I have just to make sure the Thermapen wasn’t wrong,

Lamborghini has one design tool: a ruler. Straight lines, everywhere!

This looks rad. How does it not super-overcook the yolk?

This is the first year my company hasn’t flown folks from all of the various offices to HQ for the company party, which was them renting out a large bar from noon till 6 with a full open bar. And then a large majority of folks went out afterwards. It was... something. I’m surprised it took so long to get rid of it.
