The Gamecube port is prettier and fixes nearly all of the gameplay/control issues, but it accidentally lowers the difficulty. Having first-person aiming makes a lot of the boss fights much easier.

That song fucking whips.

Agreed, 100%. MGSV’s gameplay is likely my favorite third person action gameplay in any game, ever. It’s too bad that the plot is granted such a short shrift.

I watched Thunderball last year. As revolutionary as it may be, that movie is incredibly slow and way too fucking long. One of the worse Connery ones.

Goldeneye is easily a top-5 Bond movie for me. It’s likely partially because it came out when I was at the perfect age for it, and it was my intro to the franchise. Still, watching it twenty-something years later, it still really holds up. The rest of the Brosnans are a great showing of how you can have a good actor

I actually really like the song, it’s just really of its era and doesn’t have the timeless feel of most of the better Bond songs. Skyfall is an all-timer of a theme and will stand the test of time better, I think.

Well then I guess my hot take is that I dislike that definition of hot take. Lesson learned!

I feel like every conversation I’ve had about recent Bond movies is that Skyfall is the best, because it “broke conventions” and “took things in a new direction.” It’s a great movie, but it’s less Bond than CR, which is extremely Bond and all the better for it. Maybe we discuss Bond in vastly different circles.

I don’t know about that. Other than the bizarre “sits on a couch” shit, the cold open set piece was really fun, and even though the weird Blofeld retcon feels dumb, all of the big scenes of the movie are a lot of fun. And skiing! It felt so much like a 70's Bond, for better or for worse.

“how lousy Spectre was,” links to a B- review. People shit on that movie too much like it’s dogshit. It was a fun, average Bond movie. The rest of the non-Quantum Craig Bonds have just been up on another tier.

I put it in all my salad dressings!

Plus all the DLC!

I did a little Googling and it looks like they allow it for XBone/PS4/PS3 and a few other platforms, so there’s a shred of hope here. I’d hope it’s mentioned in tomorrow’s official announcement.

Really? I’ve never done any PVP stuff, I just don’t want to have to re-do the campaign and stuff.

I think it’s his odd interpretation of the Hawthorne Effect.

I’m wondering the same thing. If I can port over my PS4 account, I’ll buy this ASASP.

Maybe he’s pitching a mash-up with the Oscar-winning film Moonlight. They’re both coming of age stories, kind of.

We should all be thankful that Allen Gregory exists because it gave us Hollywood Handbook: Sean and Hayes met writing on that show.

But can you get it with a sunroof yet?

I went to Maze back in the day and it was actively lame.
