I agree with you on those, but the R and the S3 are a blast. They’re small, peppy, and are a heck of a lot of fun while being vaguely practical. Haven’t driven an RS3, seems like a heck of a lot of money for a car like that, but I’m often tempted by the idea of an S3.

VAG stuff specifically is notorious for getting caught. The Golf R/S3 forums are littered with guys with APR tunes and huge repair bills.

RS3 is on the MQB platform, same as the Golf/every other new VAG car. So it’s more of a tarted up Golf, but not really.

This might be the old man in me, but I’d never mod a daily driver like that. It’s cool and $$$ to performance is amazing, but if I can’t rely on my car to get me where I want to go, it may as well not exist.

Can confirm. I’m a lawyer. My colleagues know what I drive and exactly one client in the past year or two has seen my car. He made fun of me for being a stereotype for driving a 3 series.

Whoa.

PREACH

This is all very good advice. Only thing I’d add is that if you’re personally injured and have medical bills/pain and suffering, it’s usually better to negotiate with the at-fault adjuster directly, just for the medical/PI amounts.

Now I just need an SNES Classic...

I, too, was wondering where the strap came from.

It shares a number with your main line.

All praise Amazom.

The only things worse than green bottles are clear bottles.

Most definitely. It also makes it even more impressive when things function beyond your expectations.

Ah, the internet, the place where unfounded assumptions are born!

That’s what I was thinking of when I talked about belt fed teams. I remember seeing old footage of teams shooting barrels red hot and a second guy yanking off and changing a barrel to a cool one, then tossing the old one in a barrel of water to cool it down.

I could never get more than 2-5 shots out in a burst with one. They’re clumsy and weird.

That’s nuts.

This makes a lot more sense to me than what a lot of folks are claiming, basically that a few hundred rounds turn a barrel into a floppy wet metal noodle.

You’re saying something very different than OP was up there.
