Aargh, kinja.
Aargh, kinja.
Demi is two years younger than me and I clearly remember J.Lo's booty being a thing. But that might mostly be because people would tell me I had a "J.Lo booty". When I was like 11.
I am a diehard HP fan, but there is no real argument to counter the fact that LGBTQ people are not well represented in the Harry Potter books, they just are not. In fact, they are not well represented in most mainstream literature, so it's understandable that members of the LGBTQ community would feel upset by this. I…
Word. WeHo has a lot of young men and women who don't have children yet and a lot of same sex couples of all ages who are less likely to have children (though it goes without saying they should be able to if they want). However you slice it, that means less kids and more dogs.
I unapologetically love them both.
Yup, like the last one about Umbridge being an asshole and bigot. We already knew she was those things, it was just a contextualizing tidbit.
Yup, Rand Paul spoke out against the lack of indictment, saying Garner was executed simply for evading taxes.
Most of my coworkers are cool enough and a handful have very similar beliefs to mine, but our corporate and industry culture in general is very middle/upper class liberal. Could be worse, I could work in finance or something, but it for sure could be waaay better.
Hmm, your experience is obviously completely valid. I feel like in my regular professional life (hello, class privilege) Lean In feminism is incredibly common while the feminism I intentionally seek out online and for my social circle is what you describe. Different lives, I see why they (and many others) interpret…
Good comment, I agree with it. I do feel like feminist women (everyone actually, but in terms of this article) do have the "responsibility" to not actively enforce toxic masculinity (which isn't something feminists typically do anyway), but definitely not to fix it and definitely not taking the lead in fixing it.
I feel like that choice of words is fairly indicative of support. Civil unrest does not really have negative connotations in the way that other descriptors that are being used does. Also, if you thought it was a bad thing wouldn't you want to distract from it?
I agree with you 100%. I meant if they don't feel revulsion at something that people pretty commonly find revolting, they probably won't for something that many people are still assholes and bigots about.
Person just said they wouldn't care to see their mother's body used for necrophilia or friend's body decapitated, so they've got bigger issues than just this.
Try you don't have a 100% male population, bro.
Well that narrows it down to only 40 million people.
I'm not saying this to accuse anyone in particular or to make you paranoid because I think it is likely this guy's familiarity with GT is only limited, but do you feel raffey is the only one who had stories that seemed strange/probably false?
While I don't necessarily agree that it was a regular, I know very little of how the emergency fund works so his lack of knowledge is not necessarily an indicator of whether he is a community member.
I hope none of my friends or family read Deadspin comments because I'm stealing this.
Not arguing which country is better for LGBTQ rights since I am straight and have no informed say in the matter, but both major US parties have openly gay members that have held office as well.
Umm I don't have an answer to your question but asking that question into the internet abyss and hoping to get approval (or disapproval I suppose) from a "black friend" for something you say seems like a not very good way of educating yourself.
