I do think she is exceptional in comparison to many First Lady's, though she also lives/grew up in a time where it was somewhat easier for her to rise to the heights that she has than her predecessors.. But it's not her power she had as FLOTUS that makes me uncomfortable, it's her husband's as a former president.

Thank you for the rational response. You do have a point and I am not deriding her actual skill as a stateswoman, she is excellent at her job. And I don't want to wait for another woman to build up that political capital either, but I do have lingering discomfort about where some of that political capital comes from.
