It is! Because it shows we're all mature enough to joke about and have a sense of humor regarding that which has been negatively stigmatized!

It can be two things!
Are you saying, "Booooooooo" or "Boooooooooners For Men Who Like Men?"
One could easily argue depth of characterization. Just because it doesn't suit your stereotype that apparently strong-willed women would never request anal sex with a near stranger who is attempting to save the world…doesn't mean it is inconsistent.
I guess strong women who are reasonable and stand up for themselves couldn't possibly want to have anal sex with near strangers. Nice job slut-shaming!
Agree to kill your best friend in a duel
Blind hatred of the Wachowskis isn't an effective argument.
Ah, now I see what you mean. That element does kind of fall apart as well upon further inspection. Well, I say further. I mean "any."
And, in my view, not even "weird" in a, "We meant for this to be different and unexpected…"-way. Just in a, "Um…crap. Can we do that? Let's just do that for that part then."-sort of way.
Eh. I don't moralize about stuff like that - or, well, not enough to influence my "assessment" of a film overall. Maybe she killed a ton of people and then she's redeemed at the end or something…if that's the case?
Oh, I did watch until the end. I've seen the movie too much for my tastes, in fact. I watched to the end that has barely any connection to the middle (except for a few sometimes "out of the blue" plot points) save for loose cartooniness.
I'd say Frozen is hurting the perception of what constitutes a decent, let alone "great" movie, for children or otherwise. By being so awful, I mean. The structure is all over the place and the only parts with any momentum or genuine tension are the ones the film ultimately glosses over.
You sure they won't do some screwing with it?
Agreed. There's often that with anyone when their words are transcribed to print but some people, who play up the love/hate thing or are being a bit more tongue-in-cheek, can walk straight into "major controversies" among fan perception just because people take the literal words at face value, kind of forgetting who…
I understand that. I never really minded the costume but the stories? What a mess.
I don't know about many openly talking about it in public but I'm aware that some spoke about it in private. Hopefully that makes sense. I guess that the stereotype about the show has always been that the companions would often be "eye candy" or whatever the term is but I believe that, ever since around Davison's time…
As someone who has seen all the current show but with a limited background in the 5th Doctor I have no idea why you couldn't basically do the exact plot of the first 12/Clara series either with both roles gender swapped or with just a woman in Capaldi's place with a similar but female personality.
The suggestion here is that someone make a show EXACTLY like DW but with a female time lord, which is stupid when the mechanism to do like three years of that on regular old DW already exists.
Do women know how to use screwdrivers?
He gets blame because he didn't dive into the water without fear if it would be tumultuous and/or scalding hot. Given the sentiment directed toward him regarding various throwaway lines or similar, it should be no surprise that he'd test the waters first…
