I'll be there to remind you all that I'm leaving the fandom!

That's it. I'm done with this franchise. After rebounding from a mediocre start and a dreadful sequel to the joy of a cartoonish finale to the original trilogy…as well as the supreme quality of the prequels, to see them throw away what was undeniably the defining character of the series while moving forward is the

Are you suggesting that not everything on the internet is true? If so, you're a damned liar!

I used to know a girl who kept giving away all of her "stuff." For some reason, a lot of people didn't like her. Then again, some people really liked her…

Of course he is! He must eat all day long given how much I hear about people smelling what he's cooking.

I think that's the issue, however - Hollywood does not view it as a "try harder" proposition. They typically view it as a proposition in which they'd have a high likelihood of failure.

I'm surprised by how many people seemingly ignore this as a major contributing factor. Perhaps I am wrong but I think that we need more female leads and that alone would considerably drive down the percentage of films which fail the Bechdel test (going forward from a point at which we might have an equal/greater

Next thing you're going to tell me is that they prefer them to be conscious and sane. Is there no end to the bizarre demands women make?!

So you're suggesting that most babies aren't half-alien cyborgs? Clever.

So you're saying women are most attracted to people who are high-maintenance?

How so?

I think that's because we have a realm wherein stories are often conflict-driven and so when characters have big life-related events that are something they wanted, it comes across as just sort of happening and generally not that worthy of note.

Alright. I can understand and agree with that. :)

I was just confused as, in your comment above, you seemed to indicate that the passage of time itself, in relation to its ability to cause works to feel "dated," somehow had an intrinsic link regarding the good/bad quality of the work itself.

Wait. So "dated" is a term denoting an inherent element of worse quality now?

If you're trying to shove the commercial into a box of "compromised" or "uncompromised," you've already "compromised" yourself and therefore aren't the "uncompromised" type of individual they're looking to have "uncompromise" into buying their vehicle (which is hopefully not "compromised").

No, right. So now - if they follow this "proof" - we get to be force-fed a bunch of films with female leads (similar to the recent YA trend and likely being along the lines of those works) for all the wrong reasons and, inevitably, some of them will fall apart or fail pretty hard. So, if that's the case and studios

This is the entire problem with the "money people" who don't understand…well, people. Market research shows this, something else shows that, all framed conveniently within contorted frameworks that help studios feel right or justified no matter what they do. Therefore, more movies need to be made on the assembly

Women go to Comic-Con because they are actually interested in Comics, and not just because they want to impress men.

If you read issue #1…and then issue #343 and characters are the exact same, wouldn't the storytelling seem weak?
