Contrary to what meowmix said the PS4 runs it at a nearly perfect 60 FPS, and the Xbox One runs it at a generally solid 60 FPS with occasional drops.

I play mostly on PS4, but the PC version is better if your PC can handle it. Better frames, and being on a monitor means your latency is slightly better too. That being said, these don’t matter until you get pretty high into the ranks. Just play where your friends play and where you will have the most fun. It’s a game…

Speaking as an owner of the PS4 and PC versions, I really prefer the PC version. Crisper detail and anti-aliasing, coupled with smooth frame rates, make a much better experience for me. I use an Xbox controller on my PC, but some people (very small few) say they prefer keyboard/mouse.

I think from a pure gameplay/responsiveness it goes : PC>X1>Ps4. I own the PC & PS4 and played X1 one over a friends. Splitscreen is almost unplayable on PS4.

No, cross-play is completely functional with friends on PS4/PC platforms. This works via private match and a server name/password. All you need to do is give everyone the info. We play with 8 friends at once regularly, some on PS4 and some on PC. Usually use a chat program/PS4 Remote Play so we can all talk together.

You still can’t cross play with friends in parties or in private online matches. But I wouldn’t say it is useless. Having a bigger pool of online players with different skill levels improves match making.

The cross play is still mostly useless, right? Matchmaking only? Teaming up with friends only if they’re on the same platform?

PS4 has a far larger player base with PC crossplay and performs much better than XBone.

its identical from the fact that pc can run in high resolutions/framerates. as far as i know you are playing with pc people no matter what so there really is only like one community (correct me if i’m wrong)

The only noticeable difference you’ll feel between any of the versions is that the PC can run at 60 fps and that the different controllers have different dead zones, so you turn slightly differently on one vs the other. Other than that and I think 1 car, identical!
