So if a “normal” person rear ends me in my 765LT, I should be out the $100k that it would cost me to fix it? And not be compensated for the months that it would take to get parts? All because someone else rear ended me? That’s not fair. Whoever is at fault in an accident should be responsible for the damages IMO.

Before everyone starts yelling at you, I’m going to tell you I agree.

I think it makes a ton of sense, actually.

I mean, if we do it for large or specialized vehicles, why not supercars? I think it makes sense. Now if only speeding fines were created in proportion to income, we’d be good.

I think this is an exceptionally good idea, and frankly it should be applied more broadly to include driving larger trucks and SUVs.
