Why is the owner of the vehicle a “douchebag?”

Two decades old and the Bimmer still looks better than the Civic. Lay off the energy drinks, Honda designers.
M3 was about a half second slower after about 3 laps each, then viscous coupling failure on the M3, one more lap in the Civic and he shaved a second off his best time, putting the M3 at 1.5 secs slower, on a 35-37 second avg lap.
I firmly believe that having an auto Viper would have saved it.
How about this one situational awareness, aka leave yourself an out. I don’t know how many times just reading the situation has allowed me to not be involved in an accident.
You know what’s hilarious is that technically the people on the highway pacing alongside the cars on the on-ramp aren’t breaking the law. The driver on the on-ramp is 100% responsible for merging onto the highway. The cars on the highway are in no way obligated to move out of their way.
Got one when I turned 18. If I hadn’t learned I’d be dead by now and that car gave pop quizzes. My old Camaro and Corvette was even worse with it.
Anticipation is key! I’ve avoided a number of wrecks by realizing the other driver is a dumb ass.
Sounds like the Mazda driver was practicing tip #2, look pay attention to what’s happening in the distance.
Maybe I’m just slow in this regard, but having driven manual cars for almost 25 years years, I still can’t heel-toe without jerky, abrupt crap happening.
Manual nut-hugger here admits this is probably a good thing. That motor, like the e90 m3 motor, revs super quickly and requires high rpm operation to be satisfying. Add that to the ridiculous power output and fantastic chassis, and you have a vehicle that demands attention and precision to drive quickly. DCTs allow…
The worst is when you screen by manual transmission but still get automatics because dealers think paddle shift or manual mode makes it a manual.
The Viper needed the sales that an automatic would have opened. The high-performance spec Mustang does not. It’s sales are plentiful and it already offers an automatic behind the 2.3T, V6, and 5.0 V8.
Makes sense. I’ve always thought that if the current gen Viper ACR was fitted with a DCT, it would set performance records that would last a long, long time.
oh great, we’re rewarding truth and logic instead of sass now?
Seriously, New Hampshire? We leave you alone for 5 minutes and suddenly you become Florida?
My issue is the guys who attend the Nascar race probably have jacked up c10s with hockey puck body lifts and bumper and light heights that are also illegal, for being too high, and yet the cops don’t pull them over and tow their shit boxes for the same unsafe modifications
At a low enough interest rate, the money is better utilized elsewhere. The Viper will also be unlikely an only car/daily driver, so it won’t be used up at the end of a 7 year loan.
Logical conclusion: All crowd hungry Mustangs are towing improperly loaded invisable trailers.
