*Prequels.  I meant to say there are lots of things wrong with the prequels, not sequels.

There are lots of things wrong with Phantom, but IMO the biggest problem with the sequels is that they take the gritty, lived-in universe of the original trilogy and turn it into shiny kid crap.  The Ewoks foreshadowed Lucas’ desire to make silly children’s movies, which he lived out with the prequels.

I’m morbidly curious - What immigration control methods would be too extreme for Republicans?  I’m genuinely not sure.

This whole discussion is partly farce.  We all know that a significant portion of Trump supporters would be in favor of shooting border crossers on sight, right?  I’m morbidly curious about the percentage who would be in favor, but I think I’d rather not know the answer.

I used to try to go to NR to get a reasonable conservative view to balance my own liberal perspective a bit.  Oh, how naive I was.

Tone is important, but also worth pointing out that it’s not normal to say, “And remember, we can’t shoot the migrants.” in any context.

I had a horrifying time trying to buy a used car at a Kia dealership in Nyack, NY.  They tried to tack ~$2k in mysterious fees onto a $6,500 car and tried to explain it with an itemized invoice that literally didn’t add up.  Then the sales manager was exceptionally rude while trying to “explain” the fees to me. 

I did think about Rush Limbaugh. He was always an inflammatory nut, but I don’t remember him being as transparent as the current Fox crew.

I was pleasantly surprised by DTW. It’s true that it’s massive and getting from one place to another can take a long time. It’s also annoying that all of the rental car places are off site.
