Would the use of CO2 affect the taste, though? I find that flat previously-carbonated water tastes differently than straight flat water. Or is that something that comes about with the CO2 interacting with the H2O that you wouldn't necessarily get with lipids or ethanol?

I use Art of Shaving's sea kelp - it's a very mild sweet scent for sensitive skin. One $25 jar lasts me about a year (shaving every 2-3 days).

1. Pre-shave oil is amazing for those of us with extremely sensitive skin. It will allow the blade to glide so much more effortlessly across the face. But if you're not seeing a benefit, there's not much of a reason to keep using it.
