Back when he was a zoo DJ before he got into this scam, he was on some anti-gay rant and a caller asked if he thought people choose it, and he said yes. Caller asks if Beck chose to be attracted to women rather than men, and Beck said yes, and the caller said he had pretty much just defined bisexuality. Beck got

Our two wars were always on shaky ground and are/were more expensive. Rather put tax money in to help Americans in need than pointless aggression. If we found money to go to Iraq, we can find money to take care of our own. Political backlash be damned.

I've done it before. Quit therapy for months because I didn't want to pay for it. And I'd be okay at first. Then the panic attacks would start and I'd miss work. Then id get so wrapped up in OCD rituals that I couldn't function at work. And then I'd get in trouble at work. And I realized okay if I lose my job a few

Absolutely. The thrifty part of me is constantly wanting to just call it a day on therapy because thinking about how much it costs is so damn depressing. But what's the point of having an extra $300/month if I'm potentially going to backslide mentally (eating disorder, anxiety person here) and be miserable?

This is great. We shouldn't have to wait until we have shoot outs in schools or malls before realizing mental health is just as important as physical health.

I've long said that it's amazing that we treat heart health as fundamentally different from mental health. That is, if the heart has a failure, we treat it like a legitimate issue and tell people that they deserve the best care possible. If the brain has a failure, we tell people to "stop being crazy."

This makes me so very happy! I have bipolar 1, GAD, and panic disorder (all in "remission" at the moment) and the thought of not having insurance scares me. I'm lucky that I have coverage through my employer, but for those who don't and want to get the help they need, this is awesome!

Mental health is just as important as physical health. I am tickled pink that the government is starting to believe in treating mental illness and requiring health providers to treat them equal to breaking your leg. Bravo!

YO, IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT KANYE WEST HAD THE MOST HYPERBOLIC RANT OF ALL TIME. OF ALL TIME!!!

Hyperbole is literally the worst thing that has ever happened, ever.

HYPERBOLE IS THE GREATEST INVENTION IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE!

They fed the beast and this is what it has come to.

I have a few. I'm also a pilot, and got stories from Wasps firsthand.

I can say this with authority because I'm lucky to be related to Dot: she was an incredible lady, also counting artist, teacher, horse farmer, and musician among her talents. If anyone deserves a float in the Rose Bowl, it's Dot and the rest of her courageous fellow WASPs - trailblazers for countless military women to

Yep, my grandmother was WAVE and had a really exciting and fulfilling time as a navigator during WWII, during which she trained the male navigators. They'd fly out of Alameda (sp?) Air Force Base in San Francisco and fly all over the eastern Pacific.

Sorry to jump in on the conversation, but the Bible (particularly the Old Testament) has all kinds of things that totally belong airbrushed on a metal album cover. Plagues of Locusts! Bears mauling children! Demon-possessed herds of pigs! Friggin' LEVIATHANS! The Bible's kiiiiind of one of the most metal books ever

I mean, it's weird, because it's not exactly some happy memory you'd want to share with people all the time, but at the same time, it's so deeply stigmatized. I think if it became more acceptable for women to share their stories, it would do a LOT to help stymie all the backsliding we've been doing on reproductive

This article IS your response. You've rightfully and righteously depicted him as a full-on idiot, generating a good discussion, without compromising his personal information (I'm not sure I'd have had such discretion). Done and done.

One of the coolest books I've ever read is A Dance With Death, about Russian women who were combat pilots during WWII. Unlike the U.S., Russia let women pilots serve in combat. The stories are pretty hair-raising. Definitely a three-in-the-morning-but-let-me-just-finish-this-next-chapter kinda book.

Pretty hard. Like, on a scale of 1-10, my rocking goes to 11.
