Every time I think of that, I think, “Paul, you *are* the machine.”

Absolutely.

If you read his statement, the title of the article  makes sense.

I get it. My mother was bipolar. Did the same sort of cycling. I’m not sure Satan ever appeared to her, but she did think people in the radio were telling her the Devil wanted her to do things. And then she set the house on fire. Yes, for real.

In his memoir, Pete Townshend wrote about hearing the voice of God in a Holiday Inn in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, in 1967. Back then, rock stars were probably holding regular conversations with God or Satan or whomever. But...not only am I a Who fan, my family was living in that very town that year. Like wow,

I’ve been having video therapy appointments since March. It’s a little weird, but I’ve gotten used to it. It seems to me that video would be preferable to wearing PPE, which, as you say makes it harder to connect with and assess clients. Video makes it harder, too, but I think probably not *as* hard, and video is much

It will probably be more in a matter of days. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s how COVID outbreaks usually go.

This is terrific! I would love to suggest this book for my culinary history book club (if we ever meet again...we haven’t met since February). One of the members is the curator of a major collection of books on food and cooking and an authority on community cookbooks. (Really!)

Not a student, but I live in a college town, Ann Arbor. The students are back, and at least 2 have already tested positive. There have been parties and so on. The Big 10 cancelled all sports events, which is a good thing. Meanwhile our rival, Michigan State, cancelled all classes. I was surprised Michigan didn’t do

I’m 56, and I’ve just about always been fat (like twice my “ideal” body weight...which is fat no matter how you slice it.). At this point in my life, when I contemplate weight loss/a fitness regime, I don’t think about looking hot so much as I think about being healthy as I age. It feels more motivating that wanting

Of course.

#sarcasmfontnow!

There’s also “rock and roll royalty,” which is international.

I’m American, but I’ve never understood it, either. I boycotted Charles and Diana’s wedding. I was 17. I thought all the fuss was ridiculous. A 19-year-old woman without a college education marrying a guy over 30? And her virginity being discussed? And her job was to bear a son or two? Ugh.

Of course, I was being sarcastic.

Well, you know, the illogical male brain and all.../S

It blows my mind how much power high school and junior high girls give to the boys on the school bus. The power to determine how we feel about our bodies, for one. I did that, except I didn’t ride a school bus. But the boys making fun of my legs...well, I still think my legs are ugly, 40 years later. Do we give them

There was no Field’s at Randhurst or the Brickyard. :)

Just wanna say that I love that huge old Victorian house that serves as the team’s boarding house! (Everyone else seems to have the actors covered.) Also the tryouts at beautiful Wrigley Field, and the scenes on the bus.

It’s also a designated city landmark. We’ll see if that makes a difference.
