I saw a bunch of scientist’s talking about just this thing last week. Also, while we don’t have the tech right now to do it, we don’t have any big ideas either. He’s right, there should be people coming up with ideas on how to drain some energy from developing storms or structures that act as dampers to absorb energy.

Right, which is why I figure they’ll really rely on supply drops. If we don’t supply them enough from the get go to last years on their own, we don’t deserve to live on mars, we haven’t learned anything. Even past that I suspect routine ~3 to 6 month drops will have to be made, meaning launches will have to be in

Colony yes, I agree with you. I figure we’ll have a really really slow build up though and hopefully we’ll figure out the food problems by the time the population size is too large to support with supply missions. I also figure we’ll really stock load enough for initial failures and not have that fail the whole

We can pretty routinely send probes all over the place right now so getting calories to them probably won’t be an issue. I think the larger issue is maintaining some kind of environment... though we’ve even done well with that looking at ISS. I could see this working actually, at least on the small scale with MASSIVE

Almost all the new houses in my area are HOA. It’s almost impossible to find lots too unless you want to work with the city and get them to open up acres to build on (for seven digits). So old house or new house but HOA. That’s life...

Wading into the s-storm to toss this out there... if everyone here is right with saying he didn’t want to win and didn’t run his program trying to win and his family didn’t even bother to vote for him.... the dems couldn’t even bring ONE person to the table that could beat a guy that DIDN’T EVEN WANT TO WIN?!

I’m curious how the OLEDs do with heat... I love my Panasonic GT50 but man does that thing pump out the heat. I have it in a bedroom sized room and things start to get toasty in there after not too long...

I’m going one extra step... I don’t pay for my internet because really, once it’s connected to wifi and wireless it’s kinda everyone’s, right?

I haven’t been able to find a non-sweet version of those. I don’t necessarily mind zero cal sweeteners, but I don’t really need them for flavored drinking water. I just want to be able to have more options then La Croix (blueberry water anyone? Cherry water... peppermint? Etc) without adding sweetness.

I’ve seen those before and I like the idea, but I don’t think the cost will fit the model I’m going for. La Croix is pretty dirt cheap, $3 to $4 for 8-12 cans depending where you’re buying it from. If I was to buy fresh cherries and raspberries and stuff for that, I think my cost would be way higher. Also the fruit

My issue is every packet of flavoring that I’ve found has some kind of sweetener in it. Either Stevia so they can call it all natural, or some artificial sweetener. The great thing I like about La Croix is it isn’t sweet at all. It literally is just water and the flavor of something (lime, orange, berry, etc).

I was all over this stuff before it became a big trend, but not because I wanna be trendy or show off or anything, because it gets me to drink more water. When I’m working out and it’s hot or whatever, yes, pure water is easy to drink. At a meal time or just sitting back watching a movie or video game... ugh water is

I’m very curious if you’ll be able to buy the Verizon phone online from the get go without playing the game of having to authenticate it with a Verizon number. The sales page looks slightly different and gives me hope Apple won’t give a shit this year who is buying what. That if you’re willing to plop down the full

And so it sounds it was less of an iPod/iOS failure and more of a deployment issue. Poor wifi will keep that radio at max power for much longer then it should be which could explain some of the battery drain issues, though it sounds like the main battery drain was with the scanner. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the

Why the hell does China refuse to stop doing business with N Korea?! Further, why are they giving N Korea the safety net of backing them if we strike first? Even for the people that absolutely hate Trump, they’ve got to remove him from the equation and seriously think about if they’re ok with a nation as obstinate as

Man! That is massively impressive then! I wanna see some pictures looking out from second story windows and stuff. Brings a whole new meaning to mission critical when the ground level of your building is underwater and you’re still working on keeping everything in SPACE working!

So is the water really as deep as the top picture suggests? Or is Giz just trying to go after ratings/clicks by using that picture. It’s hardcore that they kept running in the middle of a storm, but if they’ve also been keeping out 15+ feet of standing water... holy shit we design out high tech mission critical

I see two ads on this page... I’m certain all ad rev generated from page views is being sent directly to relief efforts ^_^

Is probably because they don’t actually have many Bolt customers yet :P

So he spent forever building his sub just to end up sinking it to cover up killing someone? Seriously? This is why we can’t have nice things... next homemade sub will now have this hurdle to get over... “I promise I’m not building it to just commit a crime and then sink it!”
