That’s true, I didn’t fully think of the practical abilities and costs with that, BUT, I also think most major hospitals have some of the same issues to deal with for those sources. I also kinda figured we had just a few huge main farms that supply a large majority of things like eggs and meat and such.
I don’t think it’s that much of an issue here either... I think it’s more of the possibility that it could be a huge issue if this trend really took off and went mainstream. I think batch testing for bacteria is required much more frequently with raw milk (or at least most farms do test more).
I would love to see more irradiated foods show up in the USA, but I highly doubt it. I’m pretty sure eggs in Europe have been routinely treated with gamma or X-ray radiation for food safety. I have yet to run across irradiated eggs in the USA though, even though it’s FDA approved. Curious on if those other two methods…
