So that’s interesting that it’s being compared to items which have a much smaller value. 100% extra on an item that costs $0.50 or something (at the supplier level) is much easier to absorb and pass onto the consumer. Yes over the long term it adds up and yearly bills are more expensive. BUT, I’m curious how sales

No one cut a salary. They reduced the amount of their contracts. Businesses do this all the time. They cut orders, they reduce non-essential spending, they try to either stay in business or maximize profits. He could easily switched to driving for another car company that was still paying out higher. Or reduced his

I know it weighs a lot more then it looks.... but man with how thin that is I feel like they should be able to layer two of those without affecting too much interior space in the car and then have a 200kW Tesla!

Lost $97,000?! Who invests that much in a startup like this that of course will end up being a race to the bottom?!? Of course normal people are going to want to pay less and less. It’s not a surprise at all that they needed to cut prices....

Something tells me my $131 return isn’t going to get me anything worth while.... :-/

Musk is probably going ballistic he doesn’t have his fleet of robots ready yet... obviously his plans are to remove all the fleshy bits of the manufacturing process. Why invest in health and safety now when robots won’t care? :P

Chevy Bolt gets almost 240 mi (under ideal conditions) from 60kw. Tesla could still offer an upgraded range by offering a 75kw or 80kw option... they probably can also repackage the battery to save a little space. The Bolt gets roughly 4 mi/kWh, the design of the model 3 appears to be far more focused on aero

So it absolutely sucks hands down... but I thought they got a decent deal! I was expecting the value to be like $30k or something. The car had over 55,000 miles on it and the value was only ~$15,000 less then the OUT THE DOOR cost for them when they got it (new?). Tax probably was what, $5,000 to $8,000 on that car?

I thought those terms were in the other one too.... but here we are with people buying up cars like crazy and selling them back... I’m getting the feeling these rulings are very fluid and loose...

So... is this actually fact this time? Do the restitutions get split between owners, or am I going to read six months from now how people bought four or five of these cars to sell back? I’m 100% positive the same wording was in the other statement (and I believe actually in the legal papers and I didn’t just go off

DAMN IT! Literally the day they released the ruling (long before collecting the cars) I read over the documents seeing if I could do this exact thing. I had already located two or three around me that would have gained $4k - $6k each and was expanding my search to within an hour or two drive distance. Ultimately the

What if that feature is still included? Just because it’s a big long hidden cent doesn’t mean you couldn’t have some louvers hidden inside the ducting. Then instead of “old out dated” manual movement to close vents you’ll be able to control the zones digitally from the touch screen. Maybe just by temperature settings

I suspect the tunnels will be more used as point to point mass transit. Hyper loop from parking points outside the core of the city into locations in the city where you are then just a few minute walk to your office building, or automated Tesla cars shuffling people back and forth into and out of the core to park &

Being honest here, I actually think they might put a freeze on any postings across the board, especially if it was more then one “location” posting. (I’m not certain or not, Gia headlines made it sound like more then one park was tweeting). If you had one guy two or three floors down sitting in an office running all

They shut down their personal accounts at home? Holy fuck, maybe I should have read more about this before I started making comments. Why isn’t this being talked about more?! Everyone worries about Facebook censoring stuff but twitter seems to be the one reaching out to individuals and their personal accounts and

I’ll go one further, does anyone think they can shitpost from their company twitter about their company or boss and get away with it? Go act like a child at home, not where you’re getting paid to WORK.

Or just pick up one of their co-branded credit cards which includes a free checked bag....

What would be amazing is if they could get some support from Tesla & run a semi-custom car with battery swap technology. Even if the common owner won’t want to give up his perfect battery for one that might be older, OR doesn’t routinely drive a route that allows for regular swap backs, there are plenty of service

I was going to say, if this was reasonable prices (say 20% above standard price) and/or offered in smaller packing (thing half of one for $1 or something) then this would be fantastic to take for lunch at work or school and stuff. You don’t need a knife or anything, just a spoon or fork to eat it AND it won’t go brown

I’m curious is the double rotor thing is actually double the rotors for the same power output. Thus use smaller motors or run each rotor at lower power and slower speed. You might be able to double the lift for the same amount of power drain, that would be hugely beneficial.
