I can’t exactly remember what I posted and it’s not real easy to go back and read that on mobile (at least that I know of), it let me try to make some comments.

Man, in the world of F1 I can’t believe a ~$13 million payout is make it or break it for a team! Even if that money just means confidence from investors and a heck of a lot more then $13 million, that sum just seems like it should be a small hurdle in that insanely expensive world.
This! This is TV I can get behind! Clever and crafting a good story that you don’t notice until much later! How many episodes / seasons did it run for before people caught on that it’s secretly been a zombie story?? ^_^
I suspect it’s more of a “horsepower is easy in an EV”. I know that with Tesla when you switch to the dual motor design (AWD) instead of a single motor the range actually INCREASES a little because it’s more efficient and better at regen. The limiting factor probably isn’t the power the electric motor can take (at…
“Chief Technology Officer Peter Rawlinson explained to Jalopnik that Lucid instead divots the battery pack in the passenger compartment.”
Interesting. I know OLED might not be as mainstream friendly as LCD/LED but for the price and “cutting edge” if I was going to invest in a panel it would be OLED. (This is coming from a Panasonic plasma owner).
Has Samsung still not invested in OLED for their ultra high end? They ditched plasma and I thought for sure they would pick up OLED.
Possibly. Having a stronger wifi signal will allow your device to use less power establishing a connection. So even if you’re not actively using it, if your mobile device is pinging the network every now and then to check for data or updates, this would extend the battery life of your devices. Also, it might be nice…
Oh totally! That’s why I’ve got ~9 gallons of gas to extend the range out at ~40 mpg.
It’s also an engineering thing. My Volt has a capacity of 18.4 kW but I’m only ever able to use 14 kW from it (good for ~53 miles). That’s roughly 75% of the capacity of the battery that I actually get to discharge and use. Basically I’m dragging around 25% of my battery (or potentially 13+ extra miles of range) that…
This is also an auction... that means people bid on them, right? There’s a seriously good chance that these cars are going for $7 or $8k or something and then being marked up to $10-11k.
So I get that you think this is stupid and these guys should just be able to take all the cones, but what if there is actually damage or construction SOMEWHERE in the blocked off area? I sure hope you’re the car the comes across it at 60+ mph in the dark because the lane was no longer blocked off...
Holy cow, I can’t imagine how much effort it takes to clear a building that size! How long did it take? An hour or more? Did they close streets and just have all the residents hang out around the corner or something? People forget how complex big buildings are!
Considering MatPat and his wife Stephine act as consultants for other channels, sometimes large companies, on optimizing and understanding YouTube channels and profitability opportunities, yes, yes they are. They also are both extremely smart and data driven, both graduates of Duke university. Stephine with a hard…
Check out My Drunk Kitchen by Hannah Hart. I consider her a YouTube star and she runs a general comedy cooking channel & blogging channel. She truly seems good & using her “YouTube powers” for good. (Lots of charity work/support and always trying to put a good message into the comedy; she was just on NPR this morning…
I wonder if he had left it road legal, but removed everything possible and then dropped all the extra bits off in the parking lot with the car and simply said he felt bad about the pollution so he made it as light as possible to get the best MPG possible if they would have put up a fight....
He’s not sure what he’ll do? Um... he will make an insurance claim and buy another one. If he doesn’t have uninsured/underinsured coverage on his policy for a car priced solidly into the territory that many would be under covered for then he’s a crazy person!
Did you confirm that Leia is CGI? Because they actually got an actress (a foreign actress that hasn’t really had any big parts before) to play Leia. She already looks REALLY close to Leia and with a little Hollywood makeup and effects I think they pulled off a live action look alike. (She also looked 1000 times more…
Is that advertising, or simply clarifying a potentially confusing situation for customers?
Oh come on!!! Such a missed opportunity to make a sale to supply all the CPR training dolls to the police/fire department!!
