Note: The THM400 was the popular choice, but any version from the 365 through the 412 could be had with a 5-speed.

Darwin Brandis [walking up to Ferrari guy]:“Y’know, if you’d bought a Porsche they would’ve thrown in the sunglasses.”
C4 doesn’t use a transaxle, I thought, though - if the goal was to get a V8 transaxle car, you have to go for at least a C5.
I have multiple photos of that interior saved on my phone, that interior is the inspiration for my 944 project for whenever I get around to reupholstering it.
Suit yourself.
Oh, I’m sorry. I thought we drove cars because we enjoyed them.
My favorite Porsche of all Porsches is the 1988 944 Turbo S “silver rose” with the turbo sticker on the fender and plaid seats.
Putting a 1987+ 928 on a diet yields a very impressive car. The interiors are very nice but incredibly overdone and heavy. I kid you not the front shock tower brace on my 928 is lighter than the console ashtray. It is like Porsche designed a futuristic supercar then went back and figured out how to put a swank living…
I love the FR Porsches! I am still holding out for the day I will either get a Cayman or a 968 (really hoping for the latter). In the meantime, here is a 928 GTS for sale in SoCal.
Have you ever seen a Porsche driver?
North Americans were more enamoured with the 928 than other places. I spoke to people in Germany, some of them my relatives.
I think Porsche is a little overdue for another GT style coupe. It would be a great partner with the Panamera, or could even be Panamera based (so long as we don’t get into BMW levels of platform variants...)
there was a very striped (red/orange/yellow on black) 924 near pikes peak for sale earlier this summer. somewhat tempting, I’ve always liked the 924 more than the 944/968
Great news! They’re back, and they are more amazing than ever! Such a wonderful design.
I would like to gift you with a Suzuki Samurai which this lovely lady will deliver in pristine condition
On the assumption that I’m still capable of driving by the time my kids are through college, I’m holding out for a nice 944 - preferably an S2 (3 liter 4 FTW!!), but any 944 would work - a nice reasonably quick hatchback coupe recent enough to be a practical DD, but tinkerable.
That has a weird backend.
Congratulations, Mr. zerogarda, on COTD! I would like to gift you with a Suzuki Samurai which this lovely lady will deliver in pristine condition.
Rolls just thought it was in a cage match event.
