Gonna have to say that the PT Cruiser is one hell of an under rated car, IF, you take the time to find the right one.

To be honest, I am not sure. I have read about Wankel engines being used for a supercharger/compressor, but this Rolls motor is the first that I have seen it used in practice.
Learning to rebuild carbs myself. Bought 8 for $200 at a garage sale. So far, I understand Holleys and Edelbrocks pretty well at this point.
Nope. I was totally wrong. The XP-882 got a 4 rotor. And that got pulled out for a 400 cube V8 later in life.
I think you may be right. I am not a hardcore rotary guy, but I got a soft spot for em.
As did GM with the Vega, and more interestingly, a mid engined Corvette.
I am a bit of a rotary nut, and for years have heard of their use of as a compressor/supercharger for years.
My experience is mostly with the second gens, admittedly. I did miss where they were talking about 3rd gens.
You would be suprised. A ton of old Hondas get stolen pretty regularly, and I am not just talking the guys bragging about having B18 swaps.
I think you are right on. At around 10k, I would have said NP. At 13,750, it is just outside what I would consider given what it is.
The Pontiac engineers also looked elsewhere for performance when they were told they couldnt have the big cubes any longer.
If I had the money to afford this, pissing away a several hundred grand wouldn’t worry me. I couldn’t spend that much every day, but this would the kind of thing I would treat myself to.
I know someone is gonna hate me for this, but this car reminds me why I love the FB, but am kind of meh about the FD.
Thank you for my dose of pornography today.
Okay, I have to admit. This is pretty cute!
If you can give me the directions to this magical car dump desert, I will have a trailer or 5 ready in an hour!!!!
The whole family keeps spares now. I have had some tempermental Ignition Control Modules in my Firebird, my Dad keeps spare belts in his vehicles and a spare set of points in his boat.
Hell yeah! My wife keeps spare Ignition Cassettes in her Saab for EXACTLY this reason!!
No fix done here, but I did have an interesting limp home story.
