Shhh. Quit telling people that. I want to take a hopped up minivan to the strip and take that stock TPI Camaro’s lunch money!

It is an amazing difference. I didnt have original tires when I got my 77 Firebird, but changing from some skinny truck tires to a decent set of wider tires was light night and day. Convinced me to start saving for a bigger set of wheels with REAL performance tires, not some old BF Goodrich Radial TAs.

Interesting info. I do tend to use cheap oil but always synthetic. I got scared of Dino Oils after my wife and I coked up a turbo on a PT Cruiser. Been full synthetic ever since.

Now that I think about it, Buick had a good name too. They had Nailheads!

I happen to still like what the Olds V8s were called.

Lima 2.3s are cheap and plentiful in the boneyards. Lots of fodder to keep a Merkur happy......or a beat down family Mustang. And check craigslist for parts. I pulled an TMIC, IHI turbo and manifold for like $150. Got an ECU for $5. Now if only I had a short block that wont blow up when I go for more boost!!!

Now that you mention it, I kind of want to see them turn it into an aero device! That would be pretty freaking cool.

    Now playing

I remember that. Absoultely brutal. I was amazed he walked away. And that the fans didnt get hurt by debris.

    Love the Second Gens!

Firebird if you want to corner. Also, what gen? Very partial for Second Gens here.

Fair point. I have been in some extremely nice VWs.

A nice, clean FB for this price? Not too bad.

Talk to some 1st Gen RX7 owners. They love to talk about their front mid-engine vehicles and how it handles.

I was just thinking that myself. All the rotary stuff I have played with really needed a steep sets of gears out back.

Well, when you aren’t in it, it is ugly as Sin.

Try Craigslist. I usually see them for about 2500/3000. Not too bad if looking for a fun toy. Decent aftermarket too.

MotorTrend had a Buick Verano Turbo manual a few years back.

Sometimes those are the best. I can still remember my brother laughing at my wife for buying a PT Cruiser.

I 100% agree Kia/Hyundia are not the same company it was even 15 years ago. My wife’s first car was a terrible 2001 Hyundia Accent. Weak car, cheap everything.
